Kegparty Posted August 12, 2013 Posted August 12, 2013 (edited) Here is an example of stuff I can not understand about bolster If I replace my level 53 blue ear with a conqueror piece outside of WZ stat changes: -12 endurance +5 cunning +150 expertise (keep in mind the blue is bolstered up) -6 power -2 alactrity Now..... is this a bad trade? Would someone with a bolster PHD degree inform me.. Edited August 12, 2013 by Kegparty
anwg Posted August 12, 2013 Posted August 12, 2013 Go into a warzone, equip blue, make note of stats, equip conqueror, make note of stats. Compare and decide which one you like better.
Kegparty Posted August 12, 2013 Author Posted August 12, 2013 50 people post about how great bolster is and demand a post with actual stats..... uhg so broken

Kegparty Posted August 12, 2013 Author Posted August 12, 2013 (edited) uhhg its a question on wasting an mk-9 on my blue level 53 ear... I don't even have the coms to check in a warzone but I will test a partisan and see if the stats drastically change in a warzone. SCRAP BOLSTER expertise made sense just put some "starter" expertise on PVE gear.. ffs Or maybe I am missing something.... Edited August 12, 2013 by Kegparty
Kegparty Posted August 12, 2013 Author Posted August 12, 2013 (edited) ok compared it in WZ with partisan ear (all I have coms for) and lets just say I refunded it right after. Dropped everything including hp. I gained 4-5 expertise.... woohoo Edited August 12, 2013 by Kegparty

I gained 4-5 expertise.... woohoo Keep in mind that expertise directly increases damage you do to other players, reduces damage you take FROM them and improves your heals. It's possible that even losing a little off the top of your PvE stats is still a net gain in PvP due to that fact.

(btw its kind of a joke question you don't need to figure it out) My main point is that is bolster works so well why do I see people in level 55 warzones with 22k health. The system is good in concept but horrible right now. Edited August 13, 2013 by Kegparty

Me, I could put on 4-5 pieces of PvP gear and see zero expertise change there for awhile. Then one more piece magically kicked in and raised me up over 100 more expertise. While I like what they're trying to do with bolster, it seems like a more competitive starter PvP set would have been much simpler. Edited August 13, 2013 by Sarielle

Kegparty Posted August 13, 2013 Author Posted August 13, 2013 Or even better yet recruit 2.1 gear that checks if your piece is above a minimum and auto puts it on! Like a PVP coat for people who go to a fancy restaurant in a T shirt
OldSpiceSwag Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 you lose expertise even while bolstered which is better to have than those measly stats
