As it's a DPS-only class, I was just wondering what the three different skill trees represented, how they play and what the strengths and weaknesses are? For example, which is better for levelling, what works well for PvP, etc For info, I'm probably going to be doing a lot of PvP whilst levelling, so not really sure what to go for. chuixupu Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 Basically, Lethality is a dot spec, Engineering is a lot of AOE, and Marksman is kind of the classic straight shooter. Lethality requires the least amount of Cover, Marksman requires the most. I can't speak for PVP much, but I do know that regardless of what you're doing, you don't really want to do Lethality until you're high enough level to get Cull. Engineering has some of the stronger low-level talents.

Engineering has some of the stronger low-level talents. Yeah I would stick with engi until lvl 30. CG can be decent, but there is not much to back it up. Engi gets cluster bombs. Mm is also kinda useless until 31, when you get FT that actually works as a process (at 30 it doesn't). After 30, though, I would go Lethality for pvp and MM for pve. Engi is also decent for aoe with mobs on planets, or is decent in PvP (until you get PP not as OP as Lethality though). That is my advice, you can decide from then on. Until cluster bombs, you just want to use Ambush, and SoS on cool down, also keeping CD, spamming snipe and RS at other times. And keep debuff up. Grenade is nice for aoe, and you have a good amount of utilities already. Ep is also nice to use on cool down and important for engine especially once you get cluster bombs. Before that be careful with energy when using it.
