kidatwood Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 (edited) Quest line is on hoth I believe there's a sticky about it. Edited August 11, 2013 by kidatwood
Callaron Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 Where on Tatooine and Hoth are the vendors? Err, there is one right outside the main base on Hoth... As for Tatooine... first I've heard about it having native Tauntauns.
JaceMatai Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 Tatooine... really? dulfy.net is the best place for the nest locations.
chuixupu Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 There is no quest line. You go to the vendors at Dorn base on Hoth, you can either purchase the tauntauns for a large sum of credits, OR, you can buy the lures for 500 credits which you take to baby tauntaun nests around Hoth (check dulfy for map locations), feed them to the babies and there is a 20% chance you will lure an adult tauntaun, and when you do you fight a wampa and get a data sample. The data samples are used as currency to buy a tauntaun. 20 for one and 15 for the subscriber only. You can also purchase the data samples themselves for 100k.

Plenty of players also sell the data samples for less than 100k, so the vendor isn't the only option. I just figured I'd throw that in too.
chuixupu Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 Well, obviously the cheapest option for the data is to farm them with the lures, but if you are someone that has more credits than time there are a couple of different options there.
PLynkes Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 If you're not the sort who goes running to Dulfy at the slightest hint of difficulty, you can find the nests using macrobinoculars.
chuixupu Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 (edited) There's a difference between convenience and difficulty. You can only use the binoculars if you're in the general area the nests are in, knowing which base to fly to in order to be near the nests saves time. Edited August 11, 2013 by chuixupu
