Sometimes you don't need the energy shield but you need to have interupt immunity. Separating the two would allow for better usage of the interrupt immunity. mandoforlife Posted July 14, 2013 Share Posted July 14, 2013 I have to agree with you. While I don't heal much on my Merc, I can relate through the Degauss talent. Pre-2.0, if a Knight leapt to me, and I wanted to break the root, I had to activate Energy Shield. I may have broke the root, but I just wasted one of my only defensive CDs. 2.0's change of Degauss, making it use Chaff Flare instead, is a very nice change.
