Class Representative

So Bioware is trying out this new class representative system where members of the community get voted on and then can ask bioware questions about their class/give input. See this thread: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=659814

We should try to get as many pvp players in some of these slots before the pve crowd takes over.

I got nominated over in this thread: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=659778

Gudarzz got nominated over here: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=659782

Frog-dawg got nominated here: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=659782&page=2

I nominated Justbodies here: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?p=6532768#post6532768

Scold here: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=659787&page=2

Marlfox here: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=659781

EatenbyDistance (Wakalord): http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=659783&page=4

I'll continue to update this thread. Let me know if I missed anyone.

Maniac I'd vote for you for the Commando Rep if I was confident you knew more about Combat Medic, but at the moment you don't even switch to heals on Voidstar Defense, so I'm under the impression you don't have much experience with one of the specs that needs to be addressed the most. Looks like I need to disprove this myth.

I'd like to suggest an alternative solution.

We create a pairing of a PvPer and a PvEer of each advanced class and between the two of them they decide who they want to vote in first and who second. Then they tell all their fans to vote for whoever they decide on, and work together within the class group. Then at the end of their term they reverse rolls and tell everyone to vote for the other person and repeat.

Thanks for the shoutout, I however have next to no experience with DPS specs so I'm not sure if I'd be the best candidate.

If Wakalord wanted to collaborate knowledge like in my earlier post I'd be more than happy to do that.

That would be awesome and probably the best. Waka is great with PVP and Deception and you know a lot about PVE, if 1 of you gets elected and the one that isnt contributes with his area of knowledge that would be good for both PVE and PVP, DPS and Tank.

The class rep's job is to be more of a facilitator and secretary though. I don't think you will really have a say on what question "your community" passes on to the combat team (other than your 1 vote).

You facilitate gathering questions your community may have. You consolidate them and figure out what the community wants answered. When the deadline comes you present the questions to the combat team.

1 pve question

1 pvp question

and 1 other question is required. A PVE "rep" can not have 3 PVE questions and a PVP "rep" can not have 3 PVP questions. The most you can do if you want more PVP questions answered is convince people to make that 1 other question... be a PVP question.

Whether you will get your own personal question answered depends I guess on your influence on the community and how well you can convince everybody to "vote for you" (or your question rather). I don't know how other class forums will figure out what questions they want answered but for the Snipers, we may be using some form of "voting" as seen in this thread:

This is a good summation of their job.
