Bioware/EA, if you are going to offer exclusives, please make sure the places participating in your exclusives have knowledge or availability of these items.

Your July 5th e-mail stated the following:

The currently available pets are:

· Amazon (2400 Cartel Coins): Umbral Blurrg - This special subspecies of Blurrg, the Umbral Blurrg, was used as a beast of burden and transport on the forest moon of Endor. Now it will travel the galaxy with you as your loyal companion.

· BestBuy: Arctic Manka Lynx - Renowned for its speed and grace, this Arctic Manka Lynx will loyally follow you on your adventures across the galaxy.

· GameStop: Lobelode - The Lobelode is hardy and persistent, at home in even the most dangerous and exotic environments you could visit.

· Walmart: Winged Flutterplume - The Winged Flutterplume will follow you as you continue with your adventures and exploration of the galaxy.***

· EU Retailers: Forest Nekarr Cat - Known for its agility and viciousness, the Forest Nekarr Cat will loyally explore the galaxy with you.

Besides the one offered by Best Buy, which I heard about a few weeks ago thanks to a friend, I never even knew these where offered till the July 5th e-mail.

Best Buy - No problem. Anyone looking for this, please check their electronic game kiosk display.

EU - I live in the States.

Amazon - It states: Currently unavailable / We don't know when or if this item will be available again. Didn't you just send me your e-mail on July 5th to promote this or did I miss something?

Walmart - Website has nothing listed. Went to the closest store near me and the employees had no idea what I was talking about. Nothing was listed in their system either. What 75% has this offer and where? Walking into Walmart is like walking into a Star Wars Cantina!

Game Stop - Website has nothing listed. Went to the closest store near me, employees where helpful, but had no knowledge what so ever of this promotion. Nothing was in their system. The employee even called a manager at another store to try and figure this out, neither location could help.

Wait, you are complaining that because you live in States, you miss one pet? What about us in EU? We miss a whole lot more, unless we decide to have the tickets shipped overseas (something you could probably do as well)

For Wal-Mart, have them look up SKU 551372127. Only a couple of the bazillion Wal-Marts in my area actually stock them though.

For GameStop, have the employees search for "star wars 2400". Will come up every time so long as the employee knows how to type. It's not a physical card like the Wal-Mart one..

They're selling pets in the EU? I thought this was US only, like most things are for Bioware.

What shops are they selling in?

And for the Amazon one, I think it's an issue with them selling out of codes vary quickly. I've only seen it purchasable twice and less than ten minutes later, it was no longer available.

It's probably because it is the easiest one to purchase out of all of the ones available.

Wal-Mart: Go in and give the associate at the Entertainment department desk this code: 551372127

That is the item number for the Cartel Coins Cards. They should be able to find it from that if they have it in stock.

Note: Some Wal-Marts do not carry the Cards unfortunately.

GameStop : Go in and tell the associate to check the computer for EA 2400. This will bring up the digital item that he will then print out after the sale. GameStop does not have physical Cards.

Hope that helps.

One of my guildies has the Forest Nekkar Pet, so I assume he bought it somewhere in EU. But really not sure, As I usually do not buy CC coins tickets, I just order them online...

The Amazon one went up on their website too early due to a miscommunication. The actual pet literally did not exist in the game files at all. Once this was found out it was pulled temporarily. I heard it was supposed to be added in the patch that hit today but I am not home yet so I can't confirm. I did buy the CC card from Amazon when it was up though.

For the EU try eBay. That is how I got mine. Some sellers are willing to just email you the code instead of mailing the card.

The Walmart one I was able to find in my local store in the PC games section where WoW etc is. Apparently not all of them have it so it's very much YMMV.

Thanks for the information fellow gamers.

Would be nice if Bioware would list better information for all players to get these items (stores/codes/locations/etc.) Obviously I am not the only person that ran into these issues.

Amazon temporarily pulled them because of some sort of issue. They are selling them again. I bought one this afternoon.

Wal-mart doesn't sell them on their website. They are physical cards at the store and they don't have an unlimited supply on hand. You'll have to get lucky and find them in stock. If you search the forums or the net, you'll see that several people have purchased these cards in-store.

Again, check the forums. Plenty of us have posted how to go about getting these. It's a digital code that can be purchased in the store. It's not BW's fault that Gamestop doesn't properly instruct its employees about the merchandise it sells. The digital codes are in the system....the kid working that day just didn't know what they were doing.

This really isn't how retail works. Once they are out of Bioware's hands, they don't have any control on how the retailers distribute them. Wal-Mart could dump every single one of the cards into a single store and Bioware wouldn't be able to do anything about it.

For those having a hard time at Gamestop, ask them to search for "cartel" in the description and the coins should come up. Tell them not to search with DLC as the category because the Gamestop I went to had them filed under the PS3 category.

  • 3 weeks later...
Yes, it will work.

All the pets will work in the US.

Thanks! Bought a card from them, and had to do phone verification since I'm in the US and paid with Paypal. But otherwise it was a breeze. Redeemed the code on the SWTOR site and had my pet waiting when I logged in. :)
