mattycutts Posted July 8, 2013 Share Posted July 8, 2013 Yesterday me and one of my friends were pvping for a while, my new sor wearing rekata grade mods,armourings etc with head and chest as partisan, i had 2018 expertise. My mate in majority of partisan with i think 3 peieces with highest level mods/armoursing only had around 1500 expertise, this supose to be this way? (this was checked durning match him on his sin, me on a sor) I checked his gear he had no old pvp gear on so cant be that factor. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Jadescythe Posted July 8, 2013 Share Posted July 8, 2013 I think the cutoff for max expertise is 58s, because people using campaign armorings for set bonus lose expertise. Anything higher than that and expertise starts to drop because the stats are better than the 55 PvP gear has. So yes, working as intended. BiS right now for all classes is Partisan/Conqueror gear with Matrix Cube for the second relic on DPS and heals (actually fully bolsters expertise still). The only exception would be if the PvE set bonus can't be passed up, such as Sorc healing where the lowered CD on Innervate is worth giving up some expertise to have. I'd check the class forums to get specifics on stating gear, I'm not familiar enough with most classes to give you solid advice. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
adiwantinova Posted July 9, 2013 Share Posted July 9, 2013 If you want max expertise while wearing PVE gear, then: (1) Never mix PVE & PVP gear in the same shell. Bolster will assume it's all PVP gear, and upgrade nothing in the piece. (2) Stay at/below level 61 armorings/mods/enhancements (Campaign quality stuff). (3) Realize out of a WZ that the gear shows below the 2018 expertise cap, but will be bolstered to the max (2018) once inside the WZ. GL. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
