NaveAmi
SWTOR is a great game, and thank you for making such a fun game, but, some things are missing that a lot of other MMOs do well and I think SWTOR could do great things with... One that fits SWTOR and is a little unique is space combat and Cap ship fighting....between guilds. Guilds should have access to build and customize cap ships as a guild. I think this would add a real element to SWTOR that is missing, and bring a whole new level of raiding/guild combat and play. In effect, these ships would be guild houses. And, during any engagement, you would have positions on this ship that must be filled by guild members....capt of the ship sees overall status of the ship and tactical situation....gunners, pilots, engineers....all have a role to win the battle. Yes, this would be a huge upgrade and likely a major patch...but. the space combat element is missing and guilds could really use something like this to make guild oriented combat more rewarding. Plus, guild houses and customization is always popular.
UnforeseenXx
Noticed this thread when searching guild ships, and thought i'd point out original poster since no-one bothered that bioware agrees with you and says they'll add it in a future patch. But my take is that EA wont fund the work because it detracts from focus on areas that generate revenue. EA is notorious for ignoring customer satisfaction, innovation and bug fixing in favor of methods that increase revenue directly and immediately. Thus bioware is forced to work very slowly in fixing things and adding features, as well as take ridiculously long maintenance periods.
Zunayson
1. It wont make money see above 2. pve guilds wont do it, they want raids 3. pvp guilds wont do it, they want pvp combat between the characters they made.
ApostleThirst
I would love this as well, but sadly I do not see i happening. Even if it did, only the largest guilds would have one - see Guild Bank costing 600k

I think it would be a great opportunity to make crafting a lot more desirable to all players; create armour plates for the ship/ scavenge materials to add to ship/ create specific tools to repair ship etc.

I'm pretty sure that every publisher out there actually works that way.
