NycHeretic
I have a 100 valor on one of my characters and guess what that gets me, SQUAT!!!! Valor fails to have any meaningful purpose after you get it up to about 60, after 60 there really is no point to get it pass that. 100 valor which equals a whole lot of WZ play should benefit the player in some way or form. Exceptional PVP gear or something else needs to be available for a player who achieves the feat of gaining 100 valor.

Nilatis
PVP didn't have a purpose in SWTOR to begin with. Your only purpose in Warzones is to repeat a few sealed off instances with a fixed amount of random players to farm commendations for gear that you can only use in said sealed off instances. This isn't exactly Lineage 2, with a PVE, PVP and economical system, where your guild PVP's other guilds for the PVE gear that drops off world bosses, so that your guild will have a better chance at winning the PVP that makes you the ruler of a province from which your guilds earn money (taxing vendors). The reason why SWTOR doesn't have a system like this, is because SWTOR is a meant for the casual gamer, only, and when a game is meant for casual gamers, nothing feels like it has any kind of significant value. It's kind of like playing Counter-Strike; there is no significant goal in mind, other than to just log in and shoot people. But, it's going to keep making people log back in, because it's so extremely casual. Edited July 5, 2013 by Nilatis
