A Different Strategy?

As someone who's never actually gotten a character to 50-55, I can't speak for the higher-ranking Warzones. However, I've noticed a lot of people seem to be really stubborn when it comes to PvP. For instance, I just had a match in ACW with a very annoying(and continuing on the theme, stubborn) team leader. I tried to explain a supposedly good strategy to him, but he seemed annoyingly stuck to "2 left, rest mid". While I have no qualms with this strategy, I feel that mine could have won the match.

Since obviously sides are the exact(reversed) opposite in ACW, and teams usually go 2 left, the rest middle. Now since the enemy's left is our right, wouldn't it make much more since to rush the enemy's left(assuming they send two like usual), and hold the sides? As long as you have people calling out incs, it's fine. The 2 times I've actually been able to grab open-minded team mates, we actually won.

tl;dr:

Wouldn't a "2 left, rest right" strategy do fairly well against the conventional strategy that sends the majority of the team towards the middle?

I've learned, until they remove the side speeders in the next patch, it's SO much easier to hold the two sides in ACW. At the beginning I'm telling everyone "I'll guard Snow while you 7 hit grass." It sucks when the other team has the same idea...but then you just hit mid.

This strategy works well because as you said it's 6/7 on 1/2. If you go mid it's 7 on 7 generally and can take a while to grab it. Of course, EAware wants us to hit mid by removing those speeders. I agree with you, the team leader was just a deusch.

Wait for the next update, when the speeders aren't available for defense. New strategies will be all over the place and be win or lose. But probably more mid reliant.

the thing with 2/6/0 is it has been tested and proven by time. People running 2/5/1 or 0/4/4 or 4/4/0 or 4/0/4 are not setting roles or people aren't following and end up running the wrong spots... Or they are just bads and can't 1v1 or call incs until after death

The thing with 1/0/7 plans anybody with half a brain in the wz going to mid will notice nobody around and go and intercept the enemy players or help defend the node for a cap anybody with more of a brain will hit the 3rd node.

Thus why if my team caps mid enemy has grass snow is stalemate I will hit grass because everybody is zerg happy and will end up on snow and grass is free taking minus the defender and as I never work alone in a wz its a free node.
