World record for leveling?

Hey guys,

My friends and I were thinking of trying to see how fast we could level a guy up from 1-55 and go on some sort of marathon. It would also be sick to see if there was a world record that we could try to beat.

I've googled it and I have not found any mention of a world record for 1-55. Does anyone know of something like that?

thanks

Why?

Why not just bash forehead to wall and see how fast you can make it bruise?

I wonder who'll post about it first! :p

The gree event leveling was a bug exploit, IIRC.

I guess with full boost perks, full cartel boosts and double xp weekend it would be possible in 2-3 days

Well 1-50 with character perks and xp buffs is doable in under 48 hours.

On a leveling weekend you could hit 1-55 in under 48 hours (although why would you sleep so little?)

had a couple of guildees that ran from 1 - 50 in 28 hours of game play during double xp weekends, without using the Gree Event Bug. They also had their blue mats pre-made for the adventure so didnt have to do any com/gear grinding. to get to 55, I would say an extra 4 hours. So if you are planning to do it straight, dont forget your redbull and other energy drinks :rak_09:

Meh.

It's fun to set challenges for yourself just to see if you can do them even though you know that in the grand scheme of things they're absolutely meaningless.

I like to use double XP weekends to see just how much advancement I can get done in the given amount of time and I can totally see the appeal of trying to do a speed run to 55 just to see if you could do it.

It has been way too long since either of them have posted.

How about enjoying the game?

Besides it varies due to legacy level, the higher your legacy the quicker you can level up. But if you really want to know, a number of people have done it in two days, but they just grind on PVP and OPs.

World record in my opinion does only make sense for stuff, that is globally accepted at being a competition.

As such, most stuff that makes it into Guiness book of Records is not worth the time reading it in my opinion.

Fastest leveling speed in a story driven MMO is to me the same as doing a pilgrimage in the shortest time... which just is not the point and even if you do, you cannot possibly ask for people to pat your back for doing it.

So if you want to... just go ahead and "break the record", but do not expect me to give you any respect for it.

Is that true?

From a certain point of view, yes. You have to have a legacy level up to a certain point in order to purchase the legacy XP boosts. But without purchasing any boosts a Legacy 1 levels the same as a 50.

Thought so... Thanks for answer!

True.

Then again.. comparing how fast one can level to cap in this game is a moving "target_of_brag". Like many MMOs, it becomes easier with time, and with double XP thrown in.. it's almost pointless unless you really make it old school ad artificially constrain the rules for how you go about it.

OP.. how about...make it interesting. What do I mean? Well, I'm glad you asked. :)

This way: 1-55, naked, no rested xp, no grouping, no double xp, no xp pots. :D

I guess though.. you could go the other extreme: grouped 7/24, umbrella leveling via a powerleveling team, while afk. :p

Which do you think would be more compelling to brag about? :D

Not any more.

Why?

Because you can use CCs to unlock every experience accelerating legacy perk in the game. So a brand new player with a stack of coins could level just as quickly through legacy accelerants as a day one verteran who has legacy-infinity.

What's to say that wouldn't be enjoying the game for the OP?

Odds are that he's already played through it once... doing something new and different is just another way to add an element of excitement to it.

It's a very narrow view of "fun" to think that there's only one way to play a game.

While I agree that on an initial playthrough, a mad rush to max level is a bad idea, once you've seen what there is to see, do whatever it takes to keep the game fresh for you.
