Sorenia
There are still a lot of really great looking green/blue items in game. In beta almost all the blues were actually modable. I'm guessing then that it'd be fairly trivial for a lot of those items to become empty shells again. Dyes are fine but nothing is ever going to match the variety of these multicolor sets in their original glory.

Dyes will never allow to actually recreate some of the green/blue low-level armors. Giving an ability to turn them into orange shells is the only solution
Rhalius
Blue and green items are pretty much useless once you are level 30 or such, you'd have a full set of moddeable gear by then. With all the cartell stuff its easy enough to get moddeable gear before you can even get mods.
