European players on the Ebon Hawk

Hey all,

As a European player that got himself dragged into an US server with too much time spent on it to go back to an EU server, I'm wondering if there are any others.

Although I can have plenty of fun on the server, it tends to be a bit more difficult to find a good guild as the time zone puts me off.

Looking forward to see how many European players we have around on the Ebon Hawk. :cool:

Greetings & welcome to The Ebon Hawk:

Per your post, I don't see how anyone could have been "dragged" to the server. I do not know how many European players are on the server, but I know we do have a good many here. The main 2 things to take into consideration are:

* Do you have a decent internet signal, and/or suffering any lag effects. Please note that even people close to any servers still suffer lag as well, so some lag spikes are within normal specifications.

* Do you play within the time zone that matches your needs to find a guild.

Other things to remember are that finding good people to game with makes the game a whole lot better, and a lot more fun. If you are looking for a guild, there are 3 ways to go...

* Go to THE EBON HAWK Guild Recruitment forums

* Go to Ideal Guild Quiz. Take the quiz, and see what is available to your wants and needs.

* Go to http://ebon-hawk.net/. A good many guilds also post here as well.

I hope this helps you out. May the force Be with you.

NOTICE:

I know we have many European players here on the server, because we have many in our guild. We are an international guild, with members all over the U.S., Canada, Denmark, England, The Carribean, and other destinations around the globe. By being in an international guild, you really never know who may login at any time, as some guilds have a set time of guild activity. A good majority of us came over from Star Wars Galaxies (SWG), from the Wanderhome / Starsider Galaxies. Others have come from W.O.W. and other games. We are an RP guild of different experiences, ranging from:

* the old pen and paper roleplay,

* Dungeons & Dragons,

* Superheroes,

* Star Wars D20 Campaigns,

* Magic: The Gathering,

* Star Wars Galaxies,

* the Jedi vs. Sith roleplay forums,

* the Last of the Jedi roleplay forums,

* plus a few more.....

I'm eu-zone and the ping I got beat alot of the ppl in the US.

So generally speaking the location wont hamper your gamestyle that much.

I can confirm there is several swedes, a few danes and some other random nations.

But timezone's is irrelevant, this is the internet!

There is always an insomniac or unemployed person to play with ;) or housekeepers.

Naturally there is more action going on later in the nite/passed midnite pending where in europe your liveing.

Most of the time ppl is friendly & casual.

I'd go to the guildrecruitment forums and look if there is some x-zone's recruiting.

G'luck

To elaborate a bit, I found myself joining the Ebon Hawk pre-server merges due to some US friends. Unfortunately most of those people have moved on from the game. As you can imagine, all the time invested on the server (character/legacy wise) I would find it a shame to leave behind.

Fortunately I don't experience any lag issues at all and my timezone will make me miss out on things that tend to happen at the evening hours (weekends excluded).

However, I did manage to find a guild which contributes to a good playing environment.

Now I know for a fact there are multiple people on US servers that live in a different continent. My main curiosity is seeing how many of those are on the Ebon Hawk. :)
