Krovan
I really enjoy this game, it's had it's struggles but it seems like it's coming back around again since F2P and the new expansion. Reading about layoffs and closures, and now the server lag is worrying me. Is Swotor in danger of getting shut down? I just got a buddy into it and I'd hate to see this title disappear, or have future updates frozen like Warhammer Online.
Kontraz
I doubt this would happen any time soon. It's still turning a profit.

If there were layoffs at Bioware the headlines would have said "Bioware lays off staff" and not "EA lays off staff". The layoffs happened at other divisions within EA. Tatile
As far as I'm aware, SWTOR is making money. Money=good.
MSchuyler
Why worry? If it happens, it happens and you find another game. It's always a possibility. Just don't get emotionally invested. It's the Internet. It's e[hemeral. Internet friends are illusional.
yoomazir
It would be a very stupid idea to shut this game down without riding on the popularity of the upcoming movies. Edited April 27, 2013 by yoomazir

branmakmuffin
So? I know I have plenty of other leisure options, and I bet everyone else does, too. When the game dies (which it will eventually) I'll find something else to do.

(evidence: DaOC and WAR still open, with minimal populations...even if content updates are infrequent).
