Khevar Posted April 8, 2013 Share Posted April 8, 2013 (edited) A careful read of the of 2.0 patch notes makes no mention of the Commando 4-piece PvE set bonus being changed from free HiB to +8% damage HiB. I was very unhappy about this change on the PTS. Sorry for all you Assault Specialists out there, but I surely am happy. something tells me you just looked at the gear you were wearing when you logged in. nothing that was already in the game got changed. this didn't happen on PTS, and it didn't happen when 2.0 hit live. Ach gott. Actually, I did look at the vendors, and the Campaign set bonus and the Dread Guard set bonus, as sold by the vendor, reduce the cost of High Impact bolt. But ... I didn't check the Arkanian and Underworld. When I did so (just now) those are the +8% damage bonus. I'm annoyed this wasn't mentioned in the patch notes. False hope. On the other hand, new Grav Vortex change is awesome, electro net is pretty giggle worthy, and hold the line is nice. The damage increase to Grav Round, Demo Round, et. al. is also pretty noticeable. I'll take pretty regular 4k grav rounds (even in augmented 63s) any day. That damage is only going to go up as we get better gear. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I figured I might as well start practicing now. Did S&V SM tonight, and actually I have to say it really isn't that bad at all. I think the net effect of the other changes, when properly incorporated (looking at you electronet) more or less offset the nerf which means the damage boost to HiB is pure gravy in the 4 piece. Question will be whether it's worth it to double stack your 2 piece set bonuses (DG stuff is an entirely seperate set bonus so the fact that the 2 piece bonuses are the same means you get it twice) and lose out on 18 aim and the endurance/DR/8% damage to HiB. That will require some testing, and double stacking will probably get fixed since I'm willing to bet it's not intended. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
