Jayshames Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 SO i've been gathering up WZ comms the past week or two and I've accumulated around 17k commendations on this account, and around 16k on my other account. I've been going around thinking that I'll keep them when 2.0 hits so I can just spend them when I hit 55. Though, I seen a post earlier in the CS forums, someone mentioning about a 800 commendation cap and that anyone who has stockpiled comms pre 2.0 should spend them beforehand. Could someone please clarify what is going to happen to commendations and if the caps have changed at all? Will I keep my commendations? (mostly capped normal comms on each of my toons with a few hundred ranked on each) Ta
DarthBloodloss Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 (edited) dulfy.net is always handy seems like you got mixed-up/bad info previously. wz comm caps are not changing Edited April 5, 2013 by DarthBloodloss
Jayshames Posted April 5, 2013 Author Posted April 5, 2013 (edited) dulfy.net is always handy seems like you got mixed-up/bad info previously. wz comm caps are not changing I find it difficult to navigate the dulfy site. Though thanks for the feedback on the cap. So my 2750~ normal commendations on each of my toons should be safe when 2.0 hits? EDIT: Oh, think i've found something regarding commendations on dulfy. TimePhoenix Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 Will you still be able to sell back pvp weapons you bought with comms before 2.0 after 2.0 hits?
cashogy_reborn Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 PvE comms are being changed. not PvP. reading comprehension is hard
MidichIorian Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 (edited) What's the latest word on the lowbie PvP weapons? At first i read that they were getting rid of them but then there was some dev post in one of the complaint threads that suggested that they might keep them. Might not want to pull the trade-in trick until we know whether or not they're keeping them. Edited April 6, 2013 by MidichIorian
Werdan Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 Will you still be able to sell back pvp weapons you bought with comms before 2.0 after 2.0 hits? If you mean to just vendor them, then of course. If you mean buying them, using them without removing any mods, and returning within the short time frame given for a full comm refund, I don't see why you'd want to do that. There is no trade up system from WH/EWH to the new gear. Partisan is the new WH with the same pricing as WH on live. Conquerer requires the Partisan empty shell (unless they change this at the last minute) plus the same pricing as EWH on live. You can also buy specific mods from your class pvp vendor for a few hundred normal WZ comms each (might have been 300-400, I forgot which). There are no armorings for sale though you never know if they add them before 2.0 hits. Enhancements are sold from the rated vendor only and costs RWZ comms and (I think) some WZ comms. I seem to remember not needing a certain rating to buy these but they are more expensive than the mods. Both the enhancements and mods are best used for min/maxing.

Werdan Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 They must have changed the price on mods because I'm pretty sure I had to pay like 1200 rwz comms or something for mine. Probably enhancements. Again, I apologize for not having exact prices but I do remember them being expensive and costing RWX comms. I did not get on PTS the last week or so it was up so they may have adjusted them. I do recall mods (that go in the mod slot, not mods in general) being relatively affordable and costing normal comms.
cashogy_reborn Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 They must have changed the price on mods because I'm pretty sure I had to pay like 1200 rwz comms or something for mine. then you must be remembering something else, bc they were always 400 wz comms for both mods and enhs. the ranked versions are much more expensive, and cost RWZ comms
TimePhoenix Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 I asked becuase I want to use this as a wayto have some comms tiedup in items so I can keep trying to get more WZ coms. I dont want toconvert to ranked and then back to regular cause youlose comms that way. The waywith the items would allow me to try to geta fuller set of gearwhen it comes out

It makes sense that they would be at the "general" PvP vendor though now that you mention it. then you must be remembering something else, bc they were always 400 wz comms for both mods and enhs. the ranked versions are much more expensive, and cost RWZ comms I got the ones in the higher tier. I can't remember seeing any in the first tier. (still not sure what the tiers are called) Edited April 6, 2013 by MidichIorian

GalaxyDude Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 Warzone commendations will not be changed http://dulfy.net/2013/02/22/swtor-commendations-system-in-patch-2-0/ While the caps remain the same, will there be any kind of reset to Comms? Didn't find this aspect / information in the linked text (though, I may have overlooked it).

A guildie of mine has around 30 weapons or so ready to turn in when he hits 55, should be able to get close to a full set of Conqueror
Tergalou Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 A guildie of mine has around 30 weapons or so ready to turn in when he hits 55, should be able to get close to a full set of Conqueror Is there no 2 hr timer on returning weapons for comms?
cashogy_reborn Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 Is there no 2 hr timer on returning weapons for comms? there is, but it only ticks down while you are in game. if you do it right you can have a whole bunch ready to go for when 2.0. it kinda requires a lot of effort tho
Tergalou Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 i guess that is a good way to do it. stack a bajillion quests so quick to 55....and make sure timers on weapon turn ins never expire. you are right though... a lot of work and if you aren't careful and a timer runs out that is a lot of time wasted, lol
MitchPB Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 Is there no 2 hr timer on returning weapons for comms? Yea hes been sellin em back rebuying for about a month now
Z-ToXiN Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 (edited) Yea hes been sellin em back rebuying for about a month now Whoa obsessive much? I mean, nothing wrong with that, but seems a bit extreme to me. I guess he'll have it nice in 2.0 but sounds like such a hassle. I knew someone who did this with pre-50 weapons when he got comm capped before level 40. Anything to get an advantage I suppose. Edited April 8, 2013 by Z-ToXiN
