ThePedigree Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 Since you guys have come up with a transfer solution for the denizens of APAC to go to a West server of their choosing, can you guys finally get around to giving the people of Jung Ma some love? When the servers got consolidated, we didn't get a choice as to where to go. Many of us sat and waited hoping we'd be able to pick a PVP or RP server to move to. But we all got tossed together with the other few RP PVP servers. If my memory servers, I think some of the west coast RP PVPers got a choice to move elsewhere, but the rest of us didn't. The population has evened out to degree (not really problems getting WZ's of FPs to pop), but it's still the lowest of the bunch and thus has far less diversity in teams or guilds, and frankly many of our friends had long since moved on to the Fatman or the Five while we were in basically the same situation that APAC has been in all this time. The server consolidations fixed the population issues, to a degree, but it never fixed the broken legacies or separated friends/guilds that rerolled before it happened. I can't speak for everyone of course, but I know there are many of us that would like to be given the same choice that the APAC players are getting now.

I have noticed theres alot of people from the west coast on jung ma (i think its in the server forum theres a thread about where are you from) but i have not noticed any problems with population. If you play on a weekend it can get pretty packed, especially with double xp
Andryah Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 In looking at the current tracking on torstatus.net ... there is very little difference between any of the PvP servers in terms of loading vs time. http://www.torstatus.net/shards/us Your loading is about 10 basis points lower then Bastion. And if you look at the 7 day tracking.. only the weekends represent any notable difference between the three serves in terms of loading. And you are only 30 basis points off from the biggest PvE servers. Load balance in NA is pretty good between servers right now. TL;DR: you don't really have a loading problem at this time.

WaywardOne Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 My best characters, names and legacy are stuck on Jung Ma which, while not as bad as it has been, is not remotely competitive in terms of wz/gf qs or active guild choices when compared to POT5. Especially during off hours. I don't care which active server I get sent to, I really want off JM (with a chance to keep my names if possible).

This is exactly the sort of situation I was trying to highlight. Thank you. In addition, it is severely lacking in the RP areas as well. Edited March 28, 2013 by ThePedigree

You really can't trust the very broad number brackets that BW shows on their server status page. At least not as far as JM is concerned. The rep fleet had a little more than 100 last night which is a fraction of the activity on other servers at the same time. In all of the merges , JM had 2 source servers (Ven Zallow & Ajunta Pall) and AP transfers were given a choice to move to a West Coast server instead.

Ah yes, my memory did serve me correct... It was the AP people that got to move off to a regular server. The rest of us never got a choice in the matter.
JimG Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 can you guys finally get around to giving the people of Jung Ma some love? When they release the paid server transfer feature, you'll be able to transfer wherever you want.

The rest of us never got a choice in the matter. Also of note is that those of us from Ajunta Pall were presented with additional options only after transfers had been open for a week or so. So the early adopters, such as myself, were punished for making the switch early. Not to mention, we lost quite a few names that we might have actually kept if we hadn't transferred, given the priority system implemented when it was forced. Edited March 28, 2013 by CelCawdro
ThePedigree Posted March 29, 2013 Author Posted March 29, 2013 When they release the paid server transfer feature, you'll be able to transfer wherever you want. The same could be said for the APAC players if they so desired. But since they are making accommodations for them for being inconvenienced by being stuck on empty servers now, I thought perhaps they might also make accommodations for us as well. As I and others have said before, many people were separated from their guilds/friends and were dumped into a tiny server merge with a much smaller pool of players and without the choice of destination or destination type.
