loma Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 can anyone post a link or explain how to get level 25, 26, and 27 armor, mod and enhancements? I've heard about 10 different ways this is done and now im lost. can someone post a sticky or give a good explanation of what armor I need to rip mods out of because I'm a bit lost on it. I've heard columi, and rataka, then I've heard BH armor only. Then I've heard have my armorsmith learn a piece of BH and then craft it again then rip out those mods...sooooo...i'm lost. please help.
Vis-Tecum Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 (edited) its called gear... get some but seriously... you get 25 mods ["mods" refers to armorings mods and enhancements] from rakata gear 26 from BH / campaign and 27 from dread guard / hazmat gear you either get them from drops in operations or from crafting by a crafter, black hole gear you can get from collecting BH coms rakata campaign dread guard and hazmat there are no comms for. general rule for drops is EC HM = camapaign [26] TFB HM = dread guard [27] so either run ops for drops or run dailies to buy stabs [molecular stabilizers] and have the mods crafted for you, not sure what the 8 other ways you were told but that's all I know, don't worry about removing columi or tionese mods just throw the gear on you shouldn't have it very long. also its ALOT cheaper to buy stabs and have the mods crafted then buying the mods off the gtn but I guess that will depend on your server and economy for bis [best in slot] you will want a mixture of dread guard 27 mods from different pieces to hit you stat caps and will vary depending on your class and the way you mod your gear, before that you want to run your daily HM flash point through group finder, weekly comm runs and do torvix and aurora weeklies to get BH comms for 26 mods once full 26 [or close] you can start EC HM and TFB HM which will get you dred guard 27 gear and be able to farm stabs for crafting. for pvp I don't know I would assume you just do pvp and farm comms and the names change... battle master [25] war hero [26] and elite war hero [27] not sure if about crafting mods with expertise though, never see people selling them also some of this will change on the 14th with 2.0 Edited March 28, 2013 by Vis-Tecum

If i wanted to start crafting the pieces on my cyber crafter. More of wondering if i have to just get say a set of BH boots, rip out the armor mod or the reg mod etc and re that...or do i have my armormech learn say a belt or bracer then craft one of my own rip those mods out and then i can use those. i have about 150 BH comms on 9 different 50s so im ready to start doing some crafting...but not sure the correct way. I do my weekly runs but always loose any scheme i see drop...usually somone else gets it and gives it to thier guildie and i get hosed. they arent even rolling for thier toon they are rolling for guildies in the run so i never get one.

There is no pre-populated crafted 61 stuff, so all you can do is rip-off mods mainly from BH gear and RE them. With some* luck and multiple SM EC/TfB runs, you could as well obtain BH Mk2+ offhands with learnable armorings, but chances are VERY high someone in the group will need it. Now, you should consider 2.0 is planned for 04/08/13, so anything you'll have learnt will be somewhat pointless (free loot from EV/KP and level 50 HM FPs). The only reason to RE BH gear now is to obtain molecular stabilizers, but without a real market post-2.0 I don't think it'd be a wise idea. Edited March 29, 2013 by JMCH

Yeah, the market for the 27 mods is going to tank after 2.0 goes live. How quickly and how bad it tanks is the only unknown.

They're removing exotic materials from REing all gear in 2.0, so everything is gonna drop basic green crafting mats only, no exotics from anything. They may have lowered the RE chance to 10% for BH gear too.
