When did you start rolling a pub?! :D

I think the recruit gear quest turn in must be hidden on the republic fleet or something, I put a ticket in just in case :)

F2P dont have free recruit gear, and they ALSO dont get free tionese gear.

They will have to buy it manually. I "think" that is working as intended. Not sure on veteran status (the one that is below subscriber but not a full F2P because you subscribed before).

I, for one, think they should get it for free. It's not just painful for them, it's painful for the rest of their team.

Yea I agree to an extent, because F2P at 50 is end game so thats subscribe or replay another story. I mean if you are doing end game thats like where Bioware is making the moolah (as well as from selling you gear where everyone loves to cosplay Leia!!!!)

@DesmoLegacy: Bro you are the pro right? Why dont you teach them how to play with your mighty epeen? Maybe they could learn something from ya!

If going to buy the WZ pass then you might as well invest the 330K for recruit gear.. you get 899 expertise which is far better than nothing.. Unless of course your not playing for coms and then I'd have to ask why PVP ? I'd hope that the subs as a whole already know this. Gear matters at this level.. I know some will argue that superior skill will overcome regardless of gear but I disagree.

Great tip, however I wonder if people are not taking the time out to pick up recruit gear, are they taking the time to go on the forums? Anybody see anyone arguing their Tioness or greens is better than recruit. I have seen lots of people arguing their high end raid gear is good enough. Of course I support expertise for all.

I would love to see two identically classed toons like say two maras do 10 matches 1v1 no companions one in full augmented EWH gear and the other in fully augmented dread guardgear.. log and post the parses so we can see who does and or takes more damage. End this argument.

So you are giving the fresh fifties Dread Guard gear....

How about this... You give one PvP recruit gear, and let the other one stay in his/her 38 blues... make them duel 10 times then log and post the parses so we can see who does and or takes more damage....

Recruit gear wins.

No thats not what im saying at all. Whenever you bring up the subject of gear.. there's always one guy out of the group that thinks his PVE gear is so great in WZ that we dont need WH or EWH gear to excel at endgame PVP. All I was saying was lets end the argument. I'm with you.. WZ specific gear is absolutely necessary... all im saying is put up the numbers to prove it to the knuckleheads.. Parses show damage taken as well as damage dished out.

I have generally found that the hardcore PvPers who are fully set up in elite war hero gear learn what the recruit pvp gear looks like for the opposing faction and they rub their hands with glee as they focus fire on the newbie in their blindingly obvious recruit PvP gear and rack up some easy kills and medals.

Wearing the recruit gear is a two edged sword, you may get some extra expertise but it also advertizes you newbie status and makes you a target for the hardcore PvPers.

Personally I would of put the expertise on a set of armoring and mods and let them slot it into anything they like so that they would not look like obvious newbies (and easy targets).

It is hard enough to learn to PvP against hardcore players who run warzones every waking moment without being made to advertize you are learning and being made a target.
