Thank You for WRECKING Space Combat in 3/26 Patch!

The grade 7 beam generator is currently broken after the lastest update on 3/26/13. When you load a space mission your ships blaster damage is reduced to 30. Remove the grade 7 beam generator and get at least a grade 5 to replace it. this will fix the problem for now, and you can go back to doing the space missions.

 

The mission's were not changed or made more difficult it is simply a bug do to the recent update.

 

You can complete the heroic space missions, it just a little bit tougher now do the the problem with the Blast condenser.

When are the level 8 ship upgrades going to be available? The level 7 upgrades are now garbage. I think this update is working as intended. Thanks you horrible money grubbing dirtbags.

Read what the Dev's and others have said this is a bug, and guess what? Bugs happen in anything that's software. I don't know how many times I've seen an issue pop up after a patch in just about every MMO I've played. It happens, it will get fixed, screaming about it won't help anything.

So on the threads there are hundreds of players with the same issue with grade 7 ship upgrades a lot of us used cartel coins for, and they still need concrete evidence.... So hundreds of posts of the knowin issue of grade 7 upgrades being broken since patch isnt hard enough evidence... So when to the hundreds of us get out grade 7 CCoin purchases refunded?

You know, they are not impossible, even with the bug. I just finished Kabal. Took me a few tries, but not impossible. Just a lot harder. Look at it as a mini-chance to do Legendary Space missions! :) Glass half full!

 

Can the devs find out who could still do them...maybe we should get a title! :D

There seems to be at least two issues here:

 

1. A display glitch causing the Ship Damage screen to display 30 instead of 100* This can be temporarily fixed by re-equipping the ship mods. (It may revert back to 30 on re-login or zone transition)

 

2. The Blast Condenser no longer provides an additional 100 damage bonus to blasters. You only get the 100 from the Laser Cannons.

 

Thus, instead of 1200 DPS you are now at half damage (6 x100 / sec) with full Grade 7 mods. Using the Rendili mod will get you up to 1000 DPS.

 

* Prior to 26/3 patch, Ship Damage displayed 200.

NICE Going! Your latest patch completely messed up Ascendency Barrier space combat mission. Since when does it take hundreds of hits from the level 7 laser guns and multiple missile hits to destroy one little heavy fighter? You completely screwed up my daily SUBSCRIBED game experience.

 

I purchased a bunch of Cartel Coins so I could buy all the level 7 ship upgrades and now they are WORTHLESS!

 

Thank you for your fine efforts to wreck my game, you've succeeded beyond my wildest dreams!

So when's this getting fixed? You rush to take down the servers during APAC prime playing time because people are levelling too quickly during double xp so you level up faster weekends. But now that you've gone and broken a part of the game there's no action?

 

Thanks for breaking the only way for us to earn Black Hole commendations on APAC servers, since you've murdered the servers populations with your other announcements.

Hi everyone,

 

We've determined that this is a problem with Grade 7 Beam Generators only, and it doesn't affect any other Space Combat parts. Unfortunately, as many of you already pointed out, it also makes [HEROIC] Space Combat missions frustrating or unplayable for the time being.

 

I've added the bug to the Known Issues as of today. We know it's a priority, and it will be fixed in Game Update 2.0!

I remove the Blast Condenser and equip my Rendili Hyperworks Beam Generator and get a RoF of 10 and per shot of 100 with a bonus of +25 to my shields. ... My DPS would drop from 1200 to 1000, but the extra 4 shots per second actually helps clear the minefields better

Amber, I have this suggestion :

 

Please have one of your database analyst make a query on every character that posess a bound blaster condenser (the faulty part) and email those characters a rendili hyperworks one.

I kept mines because of sentimental value, like some other people did, but am certain many didn't as the blaster condensers were an upgrade.

 

It would tremendously help people wait for that 2.0 fix.

Great idea! I unfortunaty didn't keep mine, so I'll have to wait a few weeks :( that's alright though, I understand bugs happen, and I appreciate their communication with the community.

So, basically it's 17 days without fix?, that means 38 BH comm less on each of my 50.... I really think Darth Vader should visit BW headquarters. Perhaps he would find new ways to motivate them. Edited by MorgothPl

I'm not sure if it's just the T7 part. Even before the last patch, I had the very first space mission (the escort one) bug out on me suddenly, where the last 25 seconds all the fighters became immune to blaster fire. I actually failed that mission for the first time in....ever? because the fighters went on to kill the shuttle. I removed the blue T2 beam piece (quest reward) and put the T1 green one back on and it worked just fine the next try. Still not entirely convinced that's what it was, because even before that enemy fights during some other missions on other toons would become immune to blaster fire. And again, this was before the last patch.

I'm not positive, but I believe the grade 6 item was a quest reward, so if it's been destroyed (like mine has been), you're hosed.

Perhaps the situation can be addressed by amending one of the Non-Heroic Space Missions to reward a Grade 6 piece to replace the glitched Grade 7 piece?

I agree with this. For the moment Heroic space missions are pretty unplayable for me.

I have all the Grade 7 Upgrades and I must say, this is pretty sucky. Despite the issues I am still able to complete the space missions thus far, but I haven't been nailing the bonuses, where I used to be able to do those missions flawlessly.

I have been chewing through the heroics with the Grade 5 blast condensor bought from the fleet, it's not that bad, actually. The rest of my components are Tier 7.

 

I think waiting till 2.0 is rather absurd given the movements made to stop Ilum XP and all manner of other hotfixes but it has been obvious Space is not a priority.

 

Bioware: While y'all are at fixing these components, could you fix missiles having their damage reduced while we use the Improved Power Conversion Module switched to shield regen? I can agree with reducing blaster damage but why missiles? The payload should be identical and I don't remember it working this way before Tier 7 heroic components.

Really? People power-leveling to 50 requires a hotfix (or two, I suppose, since the first didn't work) and several hours of server downtime, but this can wait until 2.0? I expected maybe a week at most.

 

Edit: And yes, the heroic ones are doable with the grade 5 beam generator, but still more of a hassle than they should be.
