Tragamite
I am looking back on all the PvP Gear sets that we have gone through with two new ones coming in 2.0. The "basic" PvP Vender has since launch given out PvE gear. There is NO expertise on the gear they provide, so why is it considered PvP gear? What I would really like to see is Gear Sets from 10-50(5) that are mediocre stat increase and cost much less at lower levels than at higher. I am not asking for the Valor cap to be reintroduced but I actually think it should matter in the case of gear. With each teir of Valor you recieve you get a title, why not have a set based on that title, i.e. Centurion, Champion, Battlemaster, War Hero. There are weapons offered at off levels that offer some expertise in the enhancements. Many wise PvPers have ripped those enhancements and placed them into their "PvP" set to gain an advatage sub-50. With the new bolster system and increasing of gear why not have this available for PvP? At level 10 give players their first set of PvP armor free (Recruit) but offer a Modable PvP set called the Skirmisher set. Slightly better stats (Recruit=Blue, Skirmisher=Purple) and then players can decide if they want the Skirmisher set or just use the Recruit gear. At level 20 offer recruit gear Mk 1 for credits and Valor/Level 20 the Duelist set for a modest WZ Comm price. At level 30 you can spend credits for Mk 2 or with Valor/Level 30 get the Gladiator set. At level 40 you actually start earning a set bonus from the set (Centurion Valor 40) but not from the Mk 3 Recruit set. At level 50 you should be able to pick up the "Advanced Recruit" set (Purple) or the Champion set. Recruit for credits the Champion for credits+WZ comms but without a Valor restriction. The Battlemaster set would also be availble for only WZ Comms and also no Valor restrictions. War Hero should require Valor 50 to obtain and only require Comms as it does now. At level 55 you can get the Conquerer Set for Credits and a WZ Comms fee. Level 55 and Valor Rank 60 you can obtain the Warlord Set For WZ Comms. For Ranked PvP you can earn the "Elite" version of Battlemaster, War Hero, Conquerer and and Warlord. Crafted Shell versions of any Set should NOT have a Valor restriction of any kind. This would give players a multitude of ways of obtaining PvP gear from Level 10-55 with or without Valor. And it rewards players for both reg WZ and RWZ seperately. What are peoples opinion on this? Arlanon
I've always mused about the lack of Expertise on the "PvP Gear" vendor. Although, the effort of ripping enhancements out of the vendor weapons and putting them into all your parts is something that separates the good from the bad, so I would like it to stay as-is. I won't lie I love stomping full PvE people in sub-50 PvP. Please don't take my sunshine away
Tragamite
I've always mused about the lack of Expertise on the "PvP Gear" vendor. Although, the effort of ripping enhancements out of the vendor weapons and putting them into all your parts is something that separates the good from the bad, so I would like it to stay as-is. I won't lie I love stomping full PvE people in sub-50 PvP. Please don't take my sunshine away While I understand this and am one who has done this in the past as well I take note as to how many WZ Comms I actually WASTE to do this instead of having access to true PvP Gear. Weapons cost 900 WZ tokens EACH! Reguardless of level of the item. "PvP" Gear from the Regular vendor is 550 for the level 40 gear. Generally the "smart" PvPer buys the level 46 PvP weapons x6-7 ripping the enhancments from 5-6 of them to add to the other gear. This gives you 42 Expertise +Expertise Crystals x2. Before you only had access to the Battle Master Yellow Black crystal which gave 31 expertise each. Now you can purchase War Hero Crystals from the Cartel Market that are 41 Expertise and usable at level 10! So a level 10 can now have 82 Expertise while a level 46 gets 128 (Max) 128 is not a significant ammount except when it is matched against 0. Why not offer a set ammount to all players in a competative arena. Level 10-45 200 expertise, 46-54 2000 Expertise and 55 ~12000. Then give PvP gear the oportunity to increase on this. So PvP vs PvE still has value yet able to compete yet at a much reduced rate to PvP gear. Edited March 10, 2013 by Tragamite
cashogy_reborn
gear will literally mean nothing in lowbie PvP. you will all be bolstered to the exact same level. if bolster doesnt change, you can actually PvP naked and your stats are better than EWH

Tragamite
Seems odd to me that a rage /quit thread gets more attention then threads trying to improve the game!
