Saifudeen
Say I try to speed my friend through his starting quests. Will he get the same amount of exp without me or will I be leeching away his exp?

Radzkie
He will gain almost no experience this way. Yeah he wont gain much from mobs and bosses. He will however, still get exp from handing in missions and doing bonus'. Not worth it imo. If he's new to the game and you really want to help him, throw him some creds to get orange (aka modable) gear off the GTN. Zekim
I think the best thing upper level folks can do for young toons is gear and stims. My biochem team stocks my junior toons with med packs and stims. Saves $$$ and helps keep them alive. Gearwise, I don't have much to offer them but I never felt the starting planet leveling was too tough.

As long as you don't group with him/her you can kill all the mobs s/he pulls without XP penalty for your friend... but this of course don't work in instances, still in heroic zones which are open world it can be quite helpful. However, I thill hope that BioWare will implement a mentoring system one day. Edited March 9, 2013 by Drudenfusz
asbalana
Actually it is easy. Just do what you were doing but not as a party. Let your friend make the first hit on groups and then mow them down. If you are a healer, keep your friend bubbled. Do every heroic where you do not have to party and kill everything after he/she hits them first. Your friend will level quick time if you do that. You have done the content to get to 50 and know the maps and the quests. A ton of time is lost the first few times leveling just figuring out how to get from point A to B and what is needed for the quests. Have him/her spacebar through everything. Make sure that your friend is overgeared for everything: expensive for a new player but cheap at the lower levels for a 50. Use XP boosts. The only slow downs come if your friend cannot get a speeder at level 10 and because he/she will not be able to get a ship before around level 17. I have tried having friends that I am helping ride on my ship, but the system will not let them until they get their own. But all in all, it is not a problem to get someone to 50 real fast, if you are running with them on your 50.
