LtbRaider
Which is "better" as results of power? I just want to know if their is a difference between the 2 damage wise.
WaldoA
I think Marauders are better as they can trigger 4 stacks of Shockwave everytime they hit 30 fury. They have a skill that automatically gives 30 fury, and they can talent 2 points into getting increased fury gain from attacks which builds 30 stacks of fury in no time, and can then use berserk to auotmatically gain another 4 stacks. Also, the cooldown of smash is reduced by assault abilities, and marauders seem to be doing damage nonstop.
The_FLIPmode
Juggernauts get the Shii-Cho mastery talent. That puts their force dmg above anything a marauder can push out. Hence, a juggernaut would do more damage overall if he/she can stay long enough alive.

The marauder has it too, and I did some "research" and I think the damage output is nearly the same if not exactly the same, as the only difference between the two I see is the marauder uses the 30 stacks of fury to get an instant 4 stacks of shockwave, and the jug uses enrage for it(which I agree with WaldoA, it appears, if done correctly, can put out more smashes). Setting aside the amount of time and how frequently you can smash, I think the two do the exact same damage.
Aluvi
Juggs can do slightly more damage, but are far squishier and easier to kill. In rated play, I feel that if you are filling a dps slot with a smasher, you are better off using a marauder. However, if you want someone that can tank, OR do great dps.. get jugg. How is it that jugs do more damage with smash?(this is an honest question, not being a smart ***)

Marauders get "Defensive Forms" not Shi-Cho mastery. Defensive Forms increases Damage Reduction, not damage, and increases fury built when hit. The mastery talent for jugs increases force damage. They also get a flat 6% boost to strength talent. Second, when in ideal situations, a marauder can smash more frequently and has unlimited rage in the rage spec basically. So long as you use battering assault when appropriate, you should never have to use the assault spam ability. The main difference between them though, is that marauders can get a 30% aoe dmg taken reduction talent, which is very significant given that basically every team you go against is going to have smash warriors and other aoe casting players. This makes marauders MUCH tougher and able to go toe to toe with smash piles much better than a Jugg. Add to that the Undying Rage ability, Cloak of Pain, and force camo, and you have one very tough to kill advanced class. Basically, if you have a healer and a medpac, there is no reason you should ever die as a mara with undying rage available. And force camo gets you out of sticky situations as well. A properly played marauder might do slightly less damage than a jugg (maybe 5% at most), but will live longer and has many more survivability tools. See now this was the answer I was looking for tyvm lol. I just overlooked the mar's shi-cho form bonus.
