CoolSprog Posted March 6, 2013 Share Posted March 6, 2013 (edited) Ok after a year of being released, the game has one HUGE issue imo and i find it realllyyyy hard to believe this does not bother every single other player. I am genuinely amazed that this issue, has not been addressed this far in to the game and i'd love to know the opinion of you guys. Procs, Dots, Buffs, HOW exactly are we expected to monitor these? If there are 2 of the same class in a game, lets say 2x sorcs, how do you know which is your dots and which isn't? On my Assassin i find monitoring my 2 main procs turns SWTOR into a browser game, in a bid to maximize my DPS im basically just staring at tiny little icons by my portrait waiting for the stacks to reach so i know to Shadow Strike or use Project...There is no audio warning, no visual warning, and the few classes that do have visual warnings are pointless because when im, for example, healing on my Imp Agent, im not looking at my char, im looking at other peoples health bars, so im still having to look for a tiny icon by my portrait to monitor Tactical Advantage. This is even more of an issue in PVP, where you just spam keys sand hope the proc, procced because you certainly don't have time to look. This is not OK, imo, even on release the fact its impossible to monitor your own dots on a target when there's 2 of the same class, and the fact that monitoring your own procs is done by staring at your bar and not what's happening, is just not ok. What concerns me the most, is that Bioware think it IS ok, from what i can tell they have no intention of doing anything about it, its all, "working as intended". It makes me wonder if they actually play MMO's because imo, this should have been upon release top priority after major bugs. I'd love to know your feelings on this, does it not just annoy the hell out of you that most of the classes are proc based yet they gave us nothing and no customization to monitor them? Duskkeeper Posted March 6, 2013 Share Posted March 6, 2013 Yes and fix the debuff visibilty..... on a raid pannel it just gets mixed in with the other buffs and you hope to god you see it. There are some noises associated with some Procs but not all of them. I really think this would help alot, esspecially when not everyone can call out when they have a debuff and with all the noise on HM's via TS you miss them calling it out. I would still like to be able to *individually* resize and disable buffs and debuffs, or other people's debuffs, but it's a step in the right direction. I was also happy to find that they made the weak versions of Lethality poisons a greyed out color, so I don't get THOSE mixed up anymore. In some of the new proc abilities I had they had some nice visual effects, which was good, though I don't know about all the existing ones. It makes the entire row of Buffs/Debuffs bigger or smaller which does nothing for individual visuals. There's a dev post about how it would be "more difficult" to do it for the individual buff/debuff on a target and said there was NO ETA on when it'd be in the game.
