flst
Hello all, Well i not new to the game just kind of new to the cartel packs. I reviewed the packs and then even reviewed what they offered on SWTOR site and another site. I went with the Crime Load 24 pack and kind of frustrated in several things. Yes I got 24 items but marjory are bound to the toon I bought the pack with. As well I got a lot of duplicates like three of the same speeders / three same pets and so on. As well I bought it for a empire toon and of course got the republic flags matter of fact two of them. Can not sell the dups to the vendor and they are bound to that one toon. I realize there is some possible crap in the pack but at 7500 Credits and get the same out fit twice as well all of the other dups make no sense and bound to only that toon. These need to be fixed and will be the last time I buy the 24 pack till is fixed.
ninjonxb
Most (if not all) of the things that are bound to you should have a red timer at the bottom of the tooltip telling you how much longer it is bound to you. I believe it is 36 hours for cartel stuff. You can then sell the stuff on the gtn

These need to be fixed and will be the last time I buy the 24 pack till is fixed. If you read the item descriptions in your inventory you will notice a timer that's counting down. Once this timer expires, the items that you get from the packs (or the packs themselves) will no longer be bound and they can be traded or sold freely on the GTN. Your Republic Banners can then also be mailed to your other toons in your legacy. Duplicates are common-place in these kinds of packs, but they are not promising you that you will not get duplicates either. For any of the items that you don't want to use, once the bind timer expires, list them up on the GTN or sell them in trade chat on the fleet, you're bound to catch a sale and make some decent credits off of some. flst
Yes I saw the timer on a few objects like the clothing, But speeders, pets and flags and a few others were bound with no timer.
DarthTHC
So you bought 24 chips and put 'em down on random numbers on the Roulette table over the course of 24 spins. The fact that you got something for your chips should make you happy. Sorry the wheel never landed exactly on your number. Maybe if you play longer you can get something worth the 24 chips you bought initially. Try the Martingale system, maybe? EDIT: The speeders and the rest WILL become postable. Just wait it out. flst
This should have a good return value. Meaning yes I accept that one maybe two items dup. But majority of the items dup. Really?? Well if its a gamble on what you get then I'm out. I do not like wasting $60 bucks for crap. DarthTHC
It gets worse. It's virtual crap, not actual crap. Oi. If it were actual crap you could drag all those speeders to the junk yard or scrap metal buyers and get $20 a piece or something. But thanks for funding a portion of new content development! DarthTHC
Well, we did confirm that the timers will expire and you'll be able to post stuff for credits at least. Edited March 6, 2013 by DarthTHC
darkov
What you should've done is take those 24 packs and put them on the GTN over the course of two or three weeks. This would've made you somewhere between 5 to 12 million credits, depending on the prices on your server. Which is more than enough to buy anything you want from the lucky people that do get good stuff in the packs. JimG
I reviewed the packs and then even reviewed what they offered on SWTOR site and another site. You apparently didn't spend much time researching this. All of that stuff that is "bound" has timers and you become able to sell/trade it after 36 hours. Also, if you searched the forums for about 5 minutes on the cartel packs, then you would have read about how the drop rates and duplicate rates are pretty bad for most of this stuff. You never bought cartel packs and decided to jump in with a 24 pack? That's your own fault.

Sometimes the GTN gets over saturated, but it clears and the candy eating frenzy continues on.
