SWTOR character figure?

Recommended Posts

Since I saw this: http://www.figureprints.com/wow/Default.aspx

I have dreamed of having a figure of my jedi sentinel on my desk.

But unfortunately it doesn't seems that FigurePrints will start printing SWTOR characters any time soon.

I'm wondering. Is there anyone that print and sells SWTOR characters?

Or have anyne succesfully got contact with FigurePrints? I have tried to mail them at Facebook (couldn't find anywhere else to contact them) but I haven't got any answer...

I'd LOVE to have my Jedi Guardian. I'd be hard pressed to decide what armor to have him wearing!

Nobody is doing this right now. I PRESUME it would require a contract and would be very public. You can't just contact FigurePrints, I THINK there would be LucasArts/EA lawyers on their butts.

Now if you bought a 3D Printer (like $5k?) you could make it yourself... I sure wouldn't mind donating to that cause! :)

3D printers is right. Its out of our hands right now - tech is way too expensive. However down the line, this absolutely will be possible and I wager even a marketing feature. But probably looking at 10-15 years from now.

3D printers are much cheaper today, you can get new one with 3 cartridges and software for 1500 USD (http://cubify.com/cube/store.aspx) or a pro version for about 4000 USD (http://www.bitsfrombytes.com/eur/catalog/3dtouch)

I'm talking about when it will be commercially viable, as in, able to 3D print multiple colors, use easy user interfaces to print from, have various methods of being able to see and scan into the 3d printer, wide software support, etc.

Well, multiple color 3D print is way way into the future, it will be much more like print-and-color-it-yourself. As for software support, you can easily import from any 3D modeling software into the printer software, which looks pretty easy. But yeah, it will take time before it becomes widespread and more viable...
