gdensmore
Which tree is best for me just playing PVP?
Sinsavz
Right now? Only the healer tree. Merc DPS is awful in pvp. Things might change to some extent in 2.0 but don't hold your breath
chaosmadness
For pvp go Pyro specc, but as a dps they are pretty bad and dont have any kind of utility in warzones. Go healer if u want some fun in pvp.
Cody-licious
Go healer if u want some fun in pvp. Haha, not exactly my definition of "fun" to be honest, but it certainly feels as though you contribute way more to the overall result as Bodyguard than you do as either Arsenal or Pyro. Never_Hesitate
I love healing on my merc and that's even better because the 2 dps speccs are worthless (or atleast nearly) If you want to gimp your team and play a merc dps go with the pyro tree

Atm, Mercenary dont have spot in rwz. As dps class is prety bad in pvp, loose all 1vs1, even with Operative dps, lol.. Can have spot as healer, but Sorcerer and Operative are better healers than Merc. No1 plays with Merc's atm in pvp. saatana
Indeed. Bad idea to roll merc now. Try something else first..

I mean, if you can pay attention to distances, you can totally take down sentinels and guardians if you stick within 5-9m. They get so confused that they can't leap on you and it denies them crit-smashes. Just CC break out the moment they pull stasis then disable it to deny them singularities. Consequently, using jet blast after getting back up after a spike and then unload-snaring a shadow or scoundrel, firing off a fusion+explosive dart to bring them out of their vanish will give you good distance to level them down. Gunslingers ain't too bad if you use fusion missile to burn 'em and dance along a column using instants to interrupt their aimedshot. It's not like we get stunned by bubbles being ranged. The most a sage can do is run away if you're hitting them hard enough and disabling their healing. Vanguards will grapple will be a problem, but if you cleanse yourself from a pyrotech fire, then they can't use their hardest hitting abilities on you. You're golden. The ones doing crit-smashes generally also have Obliterate/Zealous Leap, a 10-meter range charge. Maybe those weren't Rage/Focus players?
