Hidamen Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 Hello People .... I got a simple question..... The only way to gain affection from the 2V-R8 is from gifts or there's another way ..... i never saw a change of affection on dialogues which it's part of !?!!?!? Thanks
Vandicus Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 Correct, the only way is gifts. At one point in time it wasn't possible to gain affection with him at all.
Hidamen Posted March 1, 2013 Author Posted March 1, 2013 So basically .... mony .... mony .... mony .... mony .... on gifts fro him !!
Ohamsie Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 I feel like they should start off with max affection already. I mean, they start off worshipping the ground you walk on already, not really much further they can go from there.
Bethmora Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 easy to lvl up with gifts, im sure you can ruin missions for them just give him the ones he takes. then once he is maxed out buy him a crafting chip off the ship vendor droid.
RikHar Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 (edited) I have almost all my companions at compete affection. My ships droid has none. When I send one of my companions with full affection to craft a 400 item it takes one or two minutes less then the droid who has 0 affection. That's it. Now, I may be wrong but wasn't the more affection your companions has, the less time it'll take them to craft items then one without or with a lot less affection? I know about getting crits and doubling your items with high affection, but as far as the time it takes to craft them, it seems it's either not working or it just doesn't matter how much affection they have. Anyone? Edited March 1, 2013 by RikHar
DarthLeeloo Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 One thing I like about that with the ship droids came up for me when running dailies on my shadow. My usual companion, Tharan, loses points on a lot of the dialogue options I have. Which was pissing me off since he was at 10k. So I started summoning C2 for those Belsavis and Ilum dailies with dialogue. Though it would be nice to not have to do that. Maybe locking companion affection at 10k when they reach it.

Logically, yes, but the reason why we have to gift them to max is to make us have to pay to earn that extra crew skill crit and efficiency rather then have it handed to us.
ShmickB Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 This really isn't a problem. Whenever you run Missions to get Comp Gifts just hold the "Cultural Artifacts" in reserve for the ship droid. No problem. My droid has very high affecttion for me but i've never "Set Out" to gain affecttion, I just give them the Cultural Artifacts whenever I get them.
