Targeting, and abilities changing target for you.

What's up with this? I'm getting incredibly annoyed when trying to pvp and whenever I'm stunned or rooted, it changes my target, why does it do this?

 

Why is there a bunch of things that alters what target I'm targeting, if I want to target someone, I shouldn't have to deal with a bunch of stuff that changes my target for me, right?
