Macetheace Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 So go to coruscant, that really feels like a city, maybe it's the tons of NPCs around.. I don't get that feeling in Kaas City on Drummond Kaas, it feels really cold and steriley empty. it may be the desired effect..but, i genrally think that they need more. Traffic is the main thing. Coruscant feels proper not just cos of the NPCs, cos face it, Kaas City, Alderraan cities all have that.. except maybe Coreilla.. which needs fixing. What none of them have that Coruscant and Nar Shadda (Coruscant at night ) is traffic. would hope for more of this, or at least add traffic.
Altyrell Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 You kind of can't compare Kaas City with either Coruscant or Nar Shaddaa because they are both City Worlds (with Nar Shaddaa being a City Moon) and Kaas City is, well, not. Kaas City isn't supposed to be this massive city like Coruscant or Nar Shaddaa.

Kaas City isn't supposed to be this massive city like Coruscant or Nar Shaddaa. If you read the books tho, it kinda is supposed to be. Maybe not to the degree of Corescant where the entire planet is a city, but Kass city itself is supposed to be huge and extremely densely populated.
Yomitako Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 I guess then it depends on when the books were set. I have a feeling what you may have read was well into the future, and if you think about it, Kaas City is undergoing construction, as they do have an expansion district that you go through as part of questing.
DawnAskham Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 (edited) The inconsistent thing about Kaas City is that the buildings in the background give it the illusion of being very large and dense, yet the feel on the ground in the parts you can explore do not have that same feel. Not only that, but the background buildings of the city extend right to the edge of the space port, but somehow the Imperial building team was too lazy or stupid to connect the space port to the city and thus everyone has to take a speeder through the jungle. Nemmar Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 Both are bigger than what you see. Its just impractical to represent them completely.
Seravie Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 (edited) yes. they should add traffic to an ongoing warzone. Edited December 28, 2012 by Seravie

I think Coruscant is one of the most disgusting capital cities/planets I've seen in an MMO.
KryptikX Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 yes. they should add traffic to an ongoing warzone. What? You've never been to Detroit?
CosmicKat Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 Coruscant is a city? I thought it was a ginormous spaceport attached to a ginormous senate building, with an old market area that has nowhere to shop, attached to several industrial zones designed by a maze-obsessed architect on space acid. Oh, and don't forget the lost temple that has an elevator to it, a taxi stand, a medic station and several people working within meters of said lost temple.
