nebula is stupid. it looks exactly like rakata. is it so hard to not make it the EXACT same thing as OPS gear? so it was absolutely no change to my look.

Ragehunter on the other hand....looks awesome

Ragehunter (I thought it was rangehunter - could be wrong) looks EXACTLY like the pistol you are awarded for finishing Hoth bonus series, it is also a drop on Hoth. So ..... in retrospect they both look exactly the same as other models with no change except for the little graphic addition.

OP, I have both, personally the Nebula has a better sound and it looks better, however for my mercenary I bought him 2 rangehunters (or ragehunters) because they look better mainhand/off-hand combo, while the nebula looks better as a main-hand single weapon (meaning to off hand pistol)

I went Nebula mainhand and Davik Kang's (Columi) offhand for this reason.

My mad DPS Gunslinger, Muad'Deeps, has no need to choose (dual wield baybee!) and a +41 crit crystal in each, so I'm stacking cunning, power and surge in the rest of my gear. Getting crazy amounts of 4k+ hits as a level 30 in the warzones. Yeah, one of them does sound kinda funky, the other very cool, can't remember which is which. But as others have said, the HUDs are nice and so is the overall look of both, and they certainly sound better than the typical "shee'shee'shee'shee" wimpy sound of most blaster pistols.

Contemplating this myself on my Merc.

I'm led to understand that the Black Nebula has a better sounding "boom" firing sound than the whimpier (IMO) pew pew of a lot of blasters?

The Nebula sounds almost like a cannon volley from an old pirate ship, a bit more of a "hollow" echo to it perhaps, but I really like its distinct sound and classic looks (just ignore the tac huds on the side), so they fit my gunslinger perfectly.

The Rangehunter looks more "modern" and techy. I never really paid any attention to its sound though. But for my Scoundrel (who's wearing the Outlaw set, so the techy looks just fit there) it's a tough choice every day: use the Rangehunter or use Flashy.
