After a year im ready to rant! Devs please read!

Ok so first off Ive been a avid supporter of the game and of the devs from the beginning. But recently im getting worn down. The direction of this game is getting on my very patient last nerve. Ive watched players come and go, ive read all thier complaints and ive survived through most of them with a quick shoulder shrug but its becoming harder and harder to shrug off the many issues that are really beginning to annoy me to a great extent.

1) Random crashes. This game, from the beginning, has always suffered from random crashes. In the middle of a raid? Crash. In the heat of a WZ? Crash. On that last boss of a FP? Crash. Ive suffered and shrugged them off for many months now but its becoming really bad. I just opened a mailbox and crashed. Try picking a destination at the end of Black Talon...instant crash. My PC is top of the line and im running Road Runner high speed internet. The crashing has me on the verge of cancelling my sub. And its only taken a year of crashing for me to come to this. This isnt some nerd rage rant about quitting. This is about supporting a game and company through all thier failures only to finally start feeling the pressure of those failures. I thought the crashing and forced log offs would be fixed, but a year later and theyre still here. This is my biggest reason to rant btw.

2) Ilum. Released a pvp planet that had nothing to do on it. From 5 fps to Nascar'ing for boxes, it was a collossal fail. Is it that hard to stabalize the planet? You instanced everything else why not Ilum. 25-30 people per side. Fight for turrets and slap a timer on it like Wintergrasp. Every hour or 1:30 minutes. Just slapping a timer on it would renew interest in it without having to apply major fixes yet and it gives us something to pvp for every hour or two. Give pvpers a place to go every hour or two and they will drop what they are doing and run there. Instead you just shut it down and its sitting there collecting dust. If it wasnt for dailies it would be totally useless.

3) Space. Like the cries of sooo many....its sucks. Ive played over 15 toons. At least 6 50s across 4 different servers and its almost as though it doesnt exist. Putting it on rails was a start but upgrading it to full 3d space is where it should be heading. Incorporate Jump to Lightspeed into your game. SWG is dead im sure no one will care if you take thier space simulator. The pvp in Lightspeed was second to none. A Star Wars game without space pvp just isnt a Star Wars game.

4) Krayts. There arent any! Tatooine with no Krayts is just plain dumb. Krayt Dragons gave players hours and hours of fun. Hunting them for pearls, tissues and scales was the driving force for many guilds as well as it drove the economy. Put Krayts out there for groups to hunt and farm. Make them like raid bosses. A Full raid to take one down, put 5-6 of them out there and put them on a timer to respawn. 4-5 hours or so. Different variations drop different loot. Ancient, Adult..etc with varying degrees of difficulty depending on the age of the Krayt.

5) World PvP. Is non existant. Again take a page out of SWG and put in Bunker busting. On open planets place 1-2 bunkers that players can fight over. Incorporate the use of different crew skills to flip the bunker to your faction. Slicers slice terminals, biochem can provide retinal scanning bypasses or palm prints, artfice can pull crystals out of turrets to disable them...etc. It can take 3-4 crew skills to flip a bunker. So you give people World PVP and you create a more significant reason to choose a crew skill. Instead of everyone just taking Cybertech and Biochem! Whoever controls the majority of bunkers across the galaxy gets increased valor in pvp?

6) Ability Delay. Its still around. As a BH it is extremely frustrating to cast a ability and see the animation but the ability doesnt happen. Its gimps your raid dps and its a killer in pvp. This should actually be number 2 on the list as this is a game breaker. Again ive turned the other cheek and waited for them to fix it...still waiting. Not much to really say to articulate my frustration with this particular bug. If you have quit becuase of it, I feel you.

There is more I can complain about but those are my main issues that are starting to drag me down. Ive held the faith, Ive played the good soldier and endured under the massive amount of whining and quitting, roller coaster populations and server merges. I refused to give up on this game when everyone was going bananas and complaining, i refused to join the legions of haters and ragers. Ive listened to them complain and have acknowledged thier cries but recently I feel im starting to side with them in my frustrations. Games are meant to be fun and a nice way to waste time, they arent supposed to be boring and frustrating which is where it seems to be going to a degree.

So in closing, a loyal customer and fan of the genre has tried to go against the masses and shrug away the frustrations of the many. But ultimately the frustrations of the many seem to be viable and heavy, and the weight of them can crush the spirit of even the most avid supporter of your game and your company. If your lack of progress can begin to shake the faith of a supporter, I would begin to worry a great deal more than you currently are.

Fix these things soon please. I want to continue to stay subbed, I want to stay a part of the community for years to come but you are making it difficult for me to justify my reasons for staying and paying.

Of your 6 major, game-ruining points, the lack of a Krayt Dragon was one of them?

Sounds like the game's doing pretty well to me.

Btw--remember Kotor? "Krayts," as you so familiarly call them, are pretty darned rare. Not just tomping around the desert dropping epic loots. There *will* be a Krayt, you can be sure. And Bioware is saving it for an Ace.

Yeah, since one of the problems is laughable in your opinion, the other five must be aswell.

This one might be helped a bit. I've seen several posts in the customer service forum detailing that some computers CTD when hyperspace cutscenes are initiated, and other triggers cause it as well.

Workarounds have varied and among them playing game in windowed fullscren mode was mentioned, but most successes to circumvent the hyperspace ctd (selecing destination on BT) was byt ALT tab'ing out to windows for 30 sec after the choice on where to go was done. Hope this helps.

I think my issue its not that those problems exist, but they arent being fixed or dealt with over the passing months.

There has been very litle game development seen so far, besides the F2P model, and cartel market.

Or rather and i think this is the most important, its probably they dont talk to us for real, they dont keep us informed what are their plans for the game, what they intend to do it at all. We all hear about the wall of craizy, but thats all we know.

They intend to make all those things at all? or more importantly, can they?! for real?

The main problem for me its i actualy dont know what to expect of the game to be, there isnt a plan that they made n us aware of, this poses a game breaker for me to continue invested in the game.

They anounce Makeb, but the information they give is scarse at best. And we know now that the story class wont continue with makeb, this puts me off like there is no tomorow, i have to ask is a continuation for story class on the table even? The feeling i get is they are making up as they go, it seems there is no plan or direction for the game itself besides cartel market, more warzones/ operations probably. Wich im ok with it but aint enough if there is all there is imo.

dont get me wrong, i love the game, i left once for Gw2 for instance, and im back here, swtor isnt a bad game at all, i have the feeling that has the potencial to be much more, and they would be smart to keep us in the loop what is in development for the game, to make us the comunity something to look for, and they would probably retain subs in the process. Just like they did before the release keeping people hyped. Just to give us an ideia what is the intention what they would like this game to be. Just a general direction.

To be fair, i liked to hear that they intend to bring back old and add new events like the rackgouls, that for instance is a nice thing that i can look up to. Now overall what is the plan for the game for real?!

i agree with you on the many crashes... I just figured it was due to my internet connection. I live in the middle of nowhere any my only source of internet connection is tethering with my cellphone... :*( And I rarely visit the forums, so never really knew that apparently this has been an ongoing thing.... but yeah, the constant crashing gets to be obnoxious.

I'm in the same boat as the OP. I've really had it with all the bugs, glitches, unbalanced pvp, no open world pvp and just overall no endgame... instead we get 5 more lvls and a new ability!!! Oooo and more stuff to collect and wear!

The sad part is that some of these guys were DAoC devs... they actually knew how to do good open world pvp! Apparently they got lobotomized when EA bought out Mythic.

I mean would it have been hard to fix the glitches that cause crashes? How about putting in a color wheel for armor? Making pvp worth while instead of just an armor / item race? What happened to making PVP skill based with actual reward / bragging? Instead we get people who can just farm for Comms more and get their leet armor faster.

Expertise shouldn't have even been brought into this game. Basing pvp on who can get the better gear faster... really? And if that wasn't bad enough, open world has no consideration in the scheme at all.

At this point I'm finishing a story line on a JK with a friend and then unsubbing... more intrigued by the vague Mark Jacobs announcement than I am with the generic blah that EA keeps giving us.

How is it possible to crash due to internet connection?!

Not sure, but it wouldn't surprise me in the least that is is possible.

I play more than one MMO, and some are just as graphics-intensive as SWTOR. But this is the only game that will randomly CTD, and usually at an extremely inconvenient moment. No other game I play does that - my system is sufficient to keep up with the demands of these games. But not SWTOR, precious, oh noes.

Krayt should have been the world boss on Tat. I like what you are saying about SWG...loved that game.

I will never understand why we have Trapjaw as WB when a krayt dragon would have been so iconic.
