what goes good together

I have Cybertech, Diplomacy and Investitgations. I want to keep Cybertech but was wondering if the others help with that or should I try for something different and if so, what?

Here is a quick list of what skills go with what crafting professions:

• Cybertech requires Scavenging and Underworld Trading
  
• Armstech requires Scavenging and Investigation
  
• Armormech requires Scavenging and Underworld Trading
  
• Artifice requires Archaeology and Treasure Hunting
  
• Synthweaving requires Archaeology and Underworld Trading
  
• Biochem requires Bioanalysis and Diplomacy
  

That is, those skills are "required" if you don't want to have to buy any mats from the GTN, particularly the blue and purple mats which people charge ridiculous prices for.

 

If down the road you decide to make an Armormech of a Synthweaver and you go with Cybertech/Scavenging/UWT on your current toon, you can swap in Slicing instead of UWT for the second toon because Slicing has some important mats for crafting augments, plus it is the source (other than the GTN) of getting augment schematics.
