Grade 7 Space parts tooltips incorrect

A note to anyone trying to do the new space missions:

 

The Grade 7 space parts have tooltips that indicate their stats. I have discovered that space parts that make no mention of adding to your damage (the durasteel armor and deflector shield) buff your damage.

 

I was trying to do Kanz Minefield with as few grade 7 parts as possible. I always survived to the end, so I figured I did not need any of the defensive grade 7 parts. The defensive grade 7 space parts vastly boost your damage. After dozens of times per day attempting Kanz minefield, I equipped a grade 7 shield and armor (tooltips indicated my damage went down) and my damage went way way up.
