But sinse you probably want to be dps anyway I'd normally suggest assault spec, but vanguard can roll with that twice more efficient so go with gunnery. Little know how on PvP and you should be good. Use range to your advantage and keep your eyes open, block enemy line of sights and have an fall back strategy incase someone decides to jump on you. Keep your allies close to you. Gunnery is good at the low levels for the same reason that commandos in general were good back when the game started.
