Deadeyemex Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 Are the rewards listed on the missions just a guide? Or is that what you should receive upon successful completion of the quest? I have done a fair few of the missions with metal listed as the reward, but ended up with companion gifts more than half of the time. Sorry if this has been addressed before, but without the search function, there is no practical way to check.
Saberj Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 I can't speak for Underworld specifically, but with the other missions I have done (Archaeology and Treasure Hunting), what you choose is what you get. Gemstone missions get me gemstones. Color Crystal missions get me color crystals. Now they may also get me something else. Which I assume it what happens on a crit. But if I get anything, it is what is listed in the description first.
Roda Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 I'm honestly not sure. During all of my Underworld trading missions in the lowest level bracket tier of missions, all of the Metals missions have rewarded Metal crafting material. If there is such a problem, then I haven't encountered it yet. Now if your issue is that there are mostly Companion Gift missions and not enough crafting material missions, then I agree with you. However that's another subject. Side Note: Occassionaly I've gotten a critical result of Underworld Trading that resulted in a bonus schematic. These bonus items don't seem to influence the standard mission reward structure.
Deadeyemex Posted December 20, 2011 Author Posted December 20, 2011 There is a lot of companion gift missions in comparison with other rewards, which is annoying, but something I can work with. My problem is receiving companion gifts, when metal is the stated reward. I was hoping it wasn't just me

HarvardAce Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 Hasn't happened to me either, I'm up to about 150 UT. I've noticed sometimes that I click on a menu item (especially at character selection) but it doesn't actually register that I've clicked unless I click again. Maybe you thought you selected a metal mission but the click didn't register and you actually chose a different mission?

Sorry if this has been addressed before, but without the search function, there is no practical way to check. Im at UT 331 and have never had this happen. If you have a lot of gift missions imo the best thing to do is put the ones u dont need on the GTM and recover some credits. People will pay a a TON for gifts from my exp.
Mumphred Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 Are you sure you're selecting the right quest? I've never had it bring me the wrong items.
Deadeyemex Posted December 20, 2011 Author Posted December 20, 2011 I hope I don't get another run of bad luck like last night, but if I do, I will be sure to get a SS. It's a relief that it isn't something that is happening frequently to other people. I can just chalk it up to experience and move on.
Dumfrees Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 That has actually happened to me on several occasions. It's been "awhile" since it happened last. Never payed much attention to it simply because I figured it was due to low skill/affection. I think my UT skill was 30 or under on those occasions. Skill is now somewhere around 90ish.
