Phasersablaze Posted November 30, 2012 Share Posted November 30, 2012 It's kind of upsetting that a mercenary does not have the tools to be able to deal with the guy in the bubble. If we use Jet-Boost to remove the guy then we just wiped the raid because we damaged the energy shield and it will collapse. We COULD HAVE used rocket punch if they had not nerfed that as well... Also snipers with 0 dmg knockback Sorcs with directional knockback If you're just there with mercs then you get his health down and finish him as you end the phase. Nope Is this a thread about tanks? Nope Is this a thread about sorcs? Nope They should not have designed a raid where mercenaries can do absolutely nothing to help with this mechanic. Gyronamics Posted December 2, 2012 Share Posted December 2, 2012 (edited) You say that about marauders but the tactic we use doesn't involve dps swaps. Or tank swaps for that matter. Cleared it every week too. I didn't say the thread was about those classes, but unless the DPS of the raid consists of purely mercs you will have other options. Up to and including your tanks getting them out of the shield. The simplest option for a merc, a 30m ranged class is to almost kill them under the shield then finish them safely at the end of the phase from distance. And what a merc can do over a marauder is CC that mob during combat to keep it quiet once it's low on health and save on taking damage. Also use a 4s stun to help burn the others more easily. phat_maban Posted December 2, 2012 Share Posted December 2, 2012 Haha the idea to deal with the add with the bomb is to dps him till low then refrain from hitting him. when its time to jump back on the tank i hit him with a dart. job finished not a difficult mechanic at all.
