Llama-Eight Posted November 29, 2012 Share Posted November 29, 2012 (edited) PvE gear has higher main stat (aim for commandos), PvP gear has expertise (increases the damage/healing you do & reduces the damage you take, so a vital stat in PvP). PvE best in slot is obtained by either running ops to get the gear (currently 150 rating gear from Terror from Beyond & nightmare EC), or buying it from the GTN. Or if you want not-quite BiS, you can do pretty well by getting a ****ton of Black Hole comms & using them to get black hole gear (which is the previous tier of gear, along with Campaign gear, same rating, different methods of getting it). The difference between 150 rating gear & 146 isn't particularly big. What is BiS is probably this, or maybe less power & more crit rating.
