Derat
So I have: Black Hole Waist and wrists and off hand Rakata ear, implants and matrix cubes Columi Head, gloves, legs and boots My light saber is item level 126 modded my chest is Item level 136 (so solumi level) but its orange gear as i only need the other 4 pieces for my set bonus and I like the look. Now I have some Bh coms to spend (69) and was thinking time to update my chest peice - it would change my look but I'd keep my Columi 4 piece set bonus. On the vendor the only "Black Hole Force-Healer's MK-1" items are waist (have it), Wrists (have it) and gloves. No head, chest, legs or boots. All the other BH gear like "Force-lord's", "Duelists" and "Striker" have sets of all gear. Am I confused or is the healer stuff missing? What Am I supposed to be wearing as a healer - why is there only three healer pieces?
LadyTributary
The Force-lord stuff has the stats that you'll want as a healer. There are also some Striker pieces that have nothing but crit/surge/power, so you might want to pick those up, too. Basically, as a healer, you want to get your raw crit and raw surge to ~300 each, then fill in with power after that. And while it's handy to have some alacrity, you don't need to select for it since the gear tends to come with plenty already. I prefer higher willpower over higher power because it adds into your crit chance.
veyl
The striker boots are all you need to buy for the mod/enhancement. You should also pick up an orange moddable OH which you can put a +41 power crystal, the mod, armoring and the enhancement in. Resolve armoring 25 or 26 is easily attainable now with the abundance of mats that you can get on the GTN, just need to know someone who can craft it for you. RabeParat
You can mod the tier offhands such as tionese and columi. Might be cheaper than paying credits for orange offhand if you have those comms to burn. Be sure that when you buy your BH piece that you pull the mods out and transfer them to the tier pieces you have. You'll save your set bonus that way. I would buy the chest piece if I were you. In your case, orange chest, you'll need to buy a columi chest or tionese as the BH stuff does not have any set bonuses. As far as stats, I would shoot for 350 crit rating, no more than 300 surge rating. Use willpower augments and substitute power / force power when you start going over those numbers. Derat
Ok thanks guys - so its more about mods and stat numbers than the gear. Good tip changing mods into my columi gear to keep bonuses, this actually mean I can leave my orange cloak since it is columi level and I have the 4 other columi pieces for the entire set bonus - I grabbed the healing gloves and threw those mods in my columi gloves and I will slowly replace the others with an eye on my stats. Even my cloak/chest can be made to BH level and I'll keep my look. its too large of a money sink, changing mods imho - but that's a design issue and i can work around it. Derat
soooo I hover over my critical chance and I see 360 crit rating and I hover over my crit multiplier and I see 312 surge.... does that mean I'm in the "zone" and can just take what ever blackhole piece I want? I wouldn't go any higher on crit but that's about right. Also you want orange belt and bracers. You'll have to buy armorings, but with a 61 (BH lvl) mod, even a tionese armoring (pulled out of offhand on class vendor) is better than purple bracer/belt. Those slots are terribly itemized for some reason, missing a ton of end and main stat.

If you can't get hold of a 26 resolve armouring then the BH Striker's generator even though it's unmoddable will be superior to a 25 resolve + 61 mods and power crystal. I'm not sure that's true. The force power was better, but last I looked, an orange moddable focus with Rakata armorings and mods gave better stats than the BH one. MidichIorian
Don't get an earpiece from the BH vendor, get Black Hole Force-Lords MK-2 Relay, or the DG equivalent, from someone who can craft it instead. It packs way more willpower/power than the endurance heavy earpieces the Bh comms will get you. Also, don't buy 26 armorings, the prices on the 27 are already down to 1.4M on my server so you might aswell go straight for that. My advice is in general is to not use BH comms on stuff you need. Buy the 50 comm pieces and have a cybertech re- the mods/armorings for mats. Put those mats toward 27 mods, a bunch of people are crafting for mats and a small tip (tip is often optional) I'm currently at 1050 bonus damage , 790ísh bonus healing , close to 39 % crit (with those 3 % from skills) , 9 % alacrity , 76 % surge and just below 2400 willpower. I've only ran half of TfB HM and I don't craft. It's extremely easy to still make creds and just buy stuff. I've made a bunch of sweet deals with crafters on my server, saving millions compared to what it would cost to buy the stuff on GTN: Edited November 10, 2012 by MidichIorian
Derat
So things have progressed. Here's where I'm at overall: Willpower is 1980 with Endurance at 1894 - critical rating is 362 and surge rating is 435 Earpiece and implants are Rakata and both relics are Dread Guard I have all Columi pieces (for bunuses) with at least 61 level mods in each piece (legs have a 63 armor) one exception My light saber is all 56 mods. My next BH purchase will replace the mod and enhancement there to 61. The one thing I have not done is replace my BH cuffs, belt and offhand to modable versions as suggested above and I wanted to ask why I would. Currently my BH gear is Wrist is 83 end, 120willP, 41 power. Belt is 108end, 102 willP, 32 power. Offhand is 99end, 120willp, 102 power, 649Force power and 57 surge Starting with modable wrist/belt - they only have armor and mod slots I and up with - saying I rip mod from BH stalker boots and buy a campaign/BH level armor mod I'd end up with: 81end, 121willP 41 power So I can kid of see it being worthwhile for the belt... but it seems pretty minor. I see no reason to get a modable wrist. for the offhand - getting a moddable tionese or what have you and replacing the mods I'd end up with 108 end 121 willP 82 power 57 surge 41 crystal - power? crit? So I'd lose some inherent power but gain some back with cystal - if I went power crystal - netting 20ish power. I gain surge, but lose 649 force power... which i have no idea what that does or if that a lot or not... (Also all pieces are augmented. with a advanced resolve 22 - but I didn't count augment willpower or endurance in above stats - its just assumed that above and beyond final numbers) So my upgrade path at this point is obviously upgrade my saber mods as best I can. Then work on my belt. ignore cuffs until I have more BH than I know what to with. The confusing part is my offhand - what is force power and is 20+power and 57+surge worth losing 649 "force power"? *edit* just realized the Tionese moddable offhand had force power... 559. So I'd lose ~100 force power unless it changes based on level of mods in item... Edited December 9, 2012 by Derat
DarthNecromus
Force Power increases the damage and healing by Sith Sorcerer Force abilities. Power increases damage and healing by all Sith Sorcerer abilities. Since most of your heal abilities are force-based, you would want more force power channeled into them, IMO Edited December 30, 2013 by DarthNecromus
