Some suggestions (and bug reports)

Hey Guys,

I'll start with the bugs I've noticed since 1.4:

AMD Crossfire Cards: When set to full screen the map flashes constantly (mini map and full page). The only way I can work around this is to set the graphic options to full screen windowed. The question is why should I have to do this?

Rotating/Panning view: I use a mouse for all movement (there's not enough control for me with WASD). Before 1.4 it was smooth and fluid with no problems. Now it stutters like crazy every time I change direction like a series of stills not a video. Honestly it's like a high speed slideshow.

Taxi's on Coruscant: When travelling using a taxi on Coruscant it either constantly flashes or vanishes completely. Again post 1.4.

Taxi's on Tatooine: Jerky graphics while travelling and for some reason travelling from/to anchorhead it zoom's in and out for no reason.

Now to the suggestions:

PVP

I really enjoy PVP up to level 49. Once I hit 50 (have done so with a commando and a guardian) it becomes a disappointing and tedious chore. It's got so bad for me (and others in my guild) that once we hit 50 we just start another character. How can somebody in recruit gear expect to compete in the same war zone as a player kitted out in war hero gear? Seriously I have about 14k hp with my commando, I got jumped by a sith marauder and was dead in four seconds flat. I couldn't interrupt or fight back or even try and self heal. Nothing worked, I just got destroyed! The end of that match btw was 0 kills and 14 deaths! Some matches I don't even earn any medals because I spend most of the match stuck behind the re-spawning timer. Why don't you introduce a tiered war zone system that groups players of equal gear and ability together. As it stands at the moment all you are doing is helping the already well equipped players to use players in recruit gear as training dummy's! They will always win the match and so will get even better gear leaving the guys in recruit gear finishing at the bottom every time. By all means group the top geared players from both sides together. They have earned the right to go up against the best, but give the lower geared players a chance as well. It' all well and good setting everybody's level to 49 but when there can be as much as 9k hp difference (that's the most I've seen but it could be more) in a recruit and a war hero it's not really levelling the playing field is it? The pvp weekly requires 9 wins in a week. I'd be lucky to achieve that in a year!

Bound Gear

Why can't all the gear used by your character be bound to your legacy instead of being bound to just your character? The trooper class is easy to mange because all but one of your companions use the same stats and gear making the use of hand me downs easy (there are a few exceptions e.g. when an item requires "trooper only" havoc squad are all troopers yet some items cannot be equipped to your companions). When you have a Jedi Knight the gear issue becomes a little more tricky. Every companion uses different stats so trying to keep them all geared is nigh on impossible. You just end up using one or two companions instead of all of them because you cant keep them kitted out. Then when you get to the end of your class story and are required to use a specific companion you cant because you haven't used them since early on in the story and they have no gear. I don't know how others play the game but I have 10 characters ranging from 15 to two level 50's. I hate selling gear because one character has outgrown it. I invest a lot of time and credits in to ensuring my orange gear is as good as it can be. Then I drop a purple item that I have to use (because of the stats) and I then have a worthless piece of orange gear that could be used by another one of my characters. Instead the only way to dispose of it is to sell it to a vendor for peanuts. The credits received from the vendor bears no resemblance to what you have actually invested in to the item, e.g.... same piece of gear from level 16 to level 40 if it is regularly updated every time you gain a level costs a fortune over 24 levels. I just feel robbed having to basically dump it by selling it to a vendor for a fraction of the total cost. There should be a legacy unlock to transfer all character bound gear to legacy bound.

Game variety

I don't like the Imperial side as much as the Republic side and my character list reflects this. My end goal is to have all 8 advanced republic classes levelled up to 50 (two of each class). However having done Tython and Coruscant four times and Taris, Nar Shaddaa and Tatooine three times..... You can see where I'm going with this? It's getting a touch..... TEDIOUS! I know it costs a fortune for you guys to make new planets/class quests, but surely something can be done to ease the repetitive nature of the game? How about once you reach 50 with a character (Vanguard for example) you get the option to start the other advanced class (Commando) at level 10, 16, or 20? Legacy unlocks of course because having played this game for 10 months one thing is for sure, you guys don't give ANYTHING away for free.

And before somebody comments on this thread saying I'm after a short-cut to the top let me say that I am not a hardcore gamer. I enjoy playing this game because it is spectacular to play both visually and general game-play. I have made lot's of new friends that I class as real friends (not virtual ones) and I enjoy the social aspect of the game. Some nights I log on for the social element only. Sometimes our guild group together and go exploring just for the fun of it. We don't always need a task/mission to enjoy the game.

And finally some complaints.

Cost!!!

Extra storage bays. 40K for the first one, then it rises for every extra bay. Seriously? Why?

Level 2 speeder piloting. (forgot how much but it's a lot)

GTN

There doesn't seem to be much kit for consulars on the GTN (I'm referring to item modifications). Every time I level up I go straight to the GTN in the hope of buying new armour and mods only to find that none exist. The GTN is awash with gear for other classes but not the consular. I'm not sure there is a way even to address this but it would be good to consider it. Maybe put some armour vendors on the fleet. Planet commendations don't do much for me as I'm usually levelled higher than the kit they offer.

Gear Drops

The purple storage box which you can purchase with planetary commendations does not always drop the gear for your class. After investing 24 commendations for it you would expect to see some spectacular piece of kit that is perfectly suited to your character. I parted with 24 Tatooine commendations the other day with my gunslinger for a heavy armour chestpiece for a guardian. What use is that to me? Surely you can address this issue. It's the same with all gear drops. Why are they random and not specific for the class doing the quest?

Okay there are my suggestions, complaints and bug reports.

I will end on this note:

Normally after a month or two maximum I get bored with a game and move on. I've been playing this since December 2011 and am showing no signs of quitting. I'm still driving slightly too fast to get home in the evenings so I can logon and play what is to me the most spectacular game I have ever experienced. Keep it up and I'll play for years.

All the best
