You stand arms bound waiting in a small cell. Darkness is all you can see as no light seems to be able to find its way into the cell. Somewhere in the room you hear the agonizing slow drip, drip of some kind of liquid falling from a pipe. Time has lost all meaning, the only way to judge its passage is the single meal brusquely dropped down every now and then. Has it been a day? A week? A month? How long have you been imprisoned? These questions flit through your mind seeking to drive you to madness if you let them, but you must remain steadfast for you are a Jedi, chosen of the Force and to let madness creep into your mind would surely spell disaster. Suddenly there is light, too much light, slamming into you from every angle disorientating you after spending so long in the darkness, stumbling you are abruptly prodded with a stun pike and volts of electricity are sent racing across your body. An involuntary noise tears its way free of your raspy throat as the pain lances into your brain, but there is no respite as you are prodded again and again until you move forward, only then do the blows cease. As you shuffle forward you slowly begin to regain your bearings you can see a corridor that you are being lead down with a large foreboding door at the end, but you can do nothing other than slowly shuffle forward. As you reach the end of the corridor the door groans and slowly opens revealing a large sun baked permacrete pad, stained all over with dark colors of dried blood of all kinds of species. You hear the soft sounds of crying, all along the edges of the pad are other beings chained, you can feel the pain and despair rolling off of them. You are brought to the center of the pad and face to face with the man you originally were dispatched to apprehend, hanging at his side is your lightsaber relieved form your possession upon your capture. The man turns from you and begins gesturing and speaking loudly to an assembled crowd, moving your wrists slightly you are surprised to find that the cuffs that shackle you are not bound. You could break free, you realize as the man turns and stares at you with an evil expression on his face as he gestures to the other chained captives who suddenly cry out as they are subjected to electrocution. You will have only moments to act before you lose the element of surprise, do you summon your lightsaber and kill the man? Do you summon your lightsaber and take him hostage? Do you attempt to negotiate for the release of the other prisoners or do you take a more proactive approach to their liberation? The choice is yours Jedi...

The transport rocks around you as it enters the atmosphere and the high altitude winds begin to buffer it. "30 Seconds!" Cries the load master as a red light comes on illuminating the troop compartment you are sitting in. This is it your first combat assault with your new platoon. You move your hand to check your gear and notice that its shaking, out of fear or excitement you cant decide both feelings are equally apt at the moment.

 

The Trooper next to you sees your hand and slaps a reassuring hand on your shoulder plate and nods, the unspoken message clear, you are one of them now and everything's going to be fine. "10 Seconds!" The cry comes again as the light changes to yellow. Your breath quickens, where had the last twenty seconds gone your mind cries, breath coming rapidly now you mentally keep repeating your assignment to yourself determined to remember it. "5 Seconds Good Luck Boys!" The load master cries as the yellow light begins to blink rapidly. The transport hums as it engaged its repulsor coils to slow its rapid decent before impact.

 

It helps some but the transport still hits the ground with a mighty bang sending the Troopers in the compartment rocking hands holding to the arms of their seats tight. Then a shrill noise blares through the compartment speakers and your helmet loud enough to wake the dead. Your harness pops open and suddenly you are on your feet blaster rifle in hand as training moves you on auto pilot. The light turns green and the transport doors slam open letting in the harsh white light of the outside world. Your helmet filter rush to compensate as you move forward blindly with the rest of your platoon quickly off of the transport and into combat once again...

Pale blue cigarra smoke hangs dead in the air over the table obscuring the single glow lamp that hung low providing the only illumination in the dark room. The door hisses open and the lively music and mummers of conversation drift in form the main area of the cantina as a server droid wheels in and removes empty glasses and places full glasses of various alcohol concoctions in front of the beings seated around the table.

 

The beings around the table don't let the noise or the droid disrupt their concentration of the hand currently being played out, it had been a long night and the sabacc pot was ripe for the plucking if someone had the courage to try for it and had the skill to play their hand correctly. "Raisssse Ten" A Trandoshan sitting across from you hisses slowly as his clawed hand tossed in the chips. A murmur went around the table as beings considered their hands at that proposition, a Chadra Fan to your left squeaked and threw his cards in folding out while the Devaronian and Rodian both matched the raise.

 

You glance at your cards and the small pile of chips you had left in front of you, you could afford to match the raise but your hand was a positive 12 a relatively weak hand, but you saw the trandoshans eye film flick over his eyes as he made that raise, something you noticed earlier in the night as a indication that the Trando was bluffing. but the Devaronian and Rodian were still wild cards. nodding your head you matched the raise and said "Call" The server droid jostled the table making the stacks of chips shift dangerously as it completed its task and left the room, letting the door close behind it blocking the sound from the cantina and plunging the room back into silence.

 

Your eyes catch a flicker as your cards shift and mentally you scream in joy it was pure Sabacc! But you remain impassive as you say "Well lets see it lizard breath." The Trando hisses and lays down his cards as do the other two players and you let a smirk come across your face, not only does your hand win the round but the sabacc as well, over 12000 credits all in a single hand, not bad for a nights work. As you lay down your cards the Trando lets out a angry hiss and says "You cheat! You must have a sssskifter! The droid changed it! Now you die!" standing suddenly and reaching to his hip for a blaster.

 

You shove yourself back from the table quickly letting your hands fall to your hips and you quickly draw out your twin blaster pistols and bring them out covering the Trando. The Chandra Fan squeaks in terror and now that blasters have been drawn the other players draw theirs as well. Six blasters, five beings, more than enough firepower to kill everyone in the room in seconds. What do you now Smuggler? Do you knock the table over and shot your way out? Smooth talk your way out? Or do you simply open the door behind you and walk out into the cantina proper where your back up is? The choice is yours to make.

Does your character have some tattoo he's never told anyone about? Or maybe her parents are Imperials, and she's a defector? How about that Padawan stuff? Fun times in the Padawan stuff.

 

Here at the Republic Order, we encourage well-thought out characters. However, sometimes you only have a few staples to start with. We'll help you develop them. Maybe you have a little storyline for your specific character. We'll help you with it. We'll even participate when given the opportunity. Or maybe, just maybe, you're looking for a crowd of cool cats to hang out and RP with. In that case, look anywhere else but--- Standby. I'm being told this is indeed a crowd of cool cats.

 

Does this sound enticing to you? Character and story-driven RP, plot development, character building, and good times are to be had at the Republic Order. And all for the low low price of your sou--- Standby. I'm being told we no longer accept payment in souls.

The Republic Order

 

101st Saber Regiment

 

With the majority of the Republic Army’s Ground Forces operating on a large scale, deploying massive assets, and equipment on grand scale to engage the Empire on more conventional fronts, and worlds. There is an open call to those troopers looking to join an elite force, one comprised of small teams of highly trained operators. The 101st Saber Regiment is one of those forces. Attached to the Republic Order the 101st mission is comparable to other “ Republic Special Operations Forces.” Aspects of our mission include delivering unconventional warfare, direct action, intelligence gathering, reconnaissance, support to the jedi, and training allies of the republic in effort to combat the Empire and Sith.

 

The 101st are looking for men, women, and beings of all races to fill our ranks.

 

OOC:

The Republic Order (RO) is a very active Canon Based medium/heavy role play guild with years of experience. The RO is currently recruiting and has openings in all classes! If being a trooper is not your cup of Jawa Juice, then check out our Jedi enclave boasting a traditional Master/Padawan mentor training system. Then again, you may just be a man/woman of means trying to make a buck while supporting the Republic’s cause, well it sounds like the “Syndicate” may be for you.

 

If you're new to RP? Or a just a Vet looking for a guild that does more than just “Cantina RP,” (although there is a place for that :rak_03: ) We offer random rp that ranges from training session, personal story archs, to large scale “Guild Chapter Missions.” We also have members who, dabble enjoy raiding, and pvp in addition to our RP.

 

 

My personal MMO RP experience was very limited when I first joined. It had been 20 years since I had RP'd via table top games. So, I was somewhat out of my comfort zone when looking into RP guilds. I gave the RO a look over and joined. The members, vets with years of RP experience to those in the same boat as myself were great and accepting! I have now been with them over a year, the men and women that make up this community are awesome, and all are willing to assist. It has been a rewarding experience and you get out of it what you put in. Thank you for taking the time to read this “For The Republic! “May the Force Be with You,“ or simply, “Pay me...” the choice is yours!

We are still looking for new RPers, who like to enjoy full story arcs with individual driven stories that combine into the large guild and community driven stories. This is your adventure, share it with others. Cannon story lore.

 

Recruiting all classes, all LvLs, and all types.

 

We also enjoy casual PvP and Raiding, but RP is always first in our book. So you can get a bit of it all with us.

I highly recommend joining if you are looking for an RP guild with a great community. There is something here for everyone, from Jedi RP (with a fully developed Master and Padawan system) to smuggler and trooper RP (with their own system of apprenticeship).

 

Guild storylines, random RP, character development, meaningful in-guild and in-character ranks and more. Basically, if you want an RP guild, check this one out.

 

You will not be sorry.

 

(And as mentioned above, there is casual pvp and pve, so it's not like 'everything' is RP, just a lot!)
