Advice on Defense Chance vs Shield Absorbption

Hello,

 

I have been working on trying to build my Sin Tank for EC HM and now TFB HM. My ratings are as follows:

 

Damage reduction: 40.03%

Defense Chance: 29.19 %

Shield Chance 40.24% (w/o dark wrd, w/ dark ward goes to 60%)

Shield Absorbtion: 55.13%

 

I have the rakata off-hand and since we can make it moddable now, I am going to replace the rakata mods w/ BH mods. My dilema is, should I stack absorb (and slight increase in shield chance, drops my defense chance to 27.5) or upgrade the defense chance mods (slight increase in defense chance and shield chance) and keep my absorb where its at?

 

I have looked for the optimal buuild and have had trouble finding what everyone considers optimal. My health fully buffed and w/ rakata stim is 25301, but will drop a little but as the bh mods will increase willpower substantuially but I'll lose about 8 pts of endurance (not sure what that translates to in health).

Any advice or opinions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!.

Had you been a PT or jugg, there would be 1 answer. As a sin, there are 2

 

Some bosses will need higher end less shield. In that case you should keep the stats you have

 

Some other bosses you will require to lower def and stack shield+sbosrb

 

Remember the more def you have the less useful shield becoems, the more shield you have the more useful absorb becomes

 

 

My stats, full modded campaign is 28% def, 69% shield 62% absorb with 24.3k HP. I would say get 2 off hands, gear one for def and end, other for shield and absorb
