With 1.4 you can basically do this kind of damage with a Marauders/Sentinels (whatever the Marauders mirror class is) Smash ability. Me and another player where guarding the East node in Novare Coast when a Jedi and Smuggler came. I died, so I respawned and waited at the shielded door for it to go down. And when I was watching the fight between the Jedi and the other person guarding the node (the other guard only had half their life left) I literally saw the Jedi do a Smash that took away all the HP from the other guard.

 

I was like ''So it's true what people are saying on the PvP Forums, that Smash ability is Ridiculously overpowered.''

 

And this was in the 1-49 Warzones.

Stacking crit won't do that.

 

Stacking surge, however...

It probably goes like this.

 

Skill Tree:

Focused/Dark Resonanace for the 30% increase to Froce crit bonus..

Singularity(4 stacks) has a 25% buff on Smash/Sweep.

 

Gear:

~78% Surge rating

~900+Power

~2000+ WP

~20% EXP bonus

 

Subtotal= ~45% increase on TT damage rating of Smash/Sweep and 108% Crit bonus AFTER those multipliers.

 

 

Enemy:

Sunder Strike(5 Stacks) 20% Armor Debuff

Clothie, Low Armor Rating

No PvP gear

 

 

 

Result= 7-9K smash/sweep

 

Last night I hit a 4K sweep in Optimized Defense BM Tank gear, and I don't have the crit bonus specd.

Health bars aren't perfectly synced - it may look like someone has half their health but the actual number can be lower than that.

I've seen (and produced) weird, impossible crit #s in huttball screens before.

 

Agreed, were this not being typed on my phone I'd post a screenie where my Sorc was credited with a highest damage of something like 12k in a huttball, given that at the time death field was usually hitting around 3k somehow I don't think it was legit, but hey looks amusing

Its a glitch just today i got credited with an 8k crit as watchman sentinel but it was a force sweep or something that hit 4 palyers and counted them all together.

 

Same thing i hit 5.8k on my sorc when it was healer speced on an overload because it counted all the dmg together.

Yeah but what aoe does a PT have that could even come close to a 10k aoe in 1 hit?

 

Well death from above, 4 people would be 2.5k per, 5 people 2k per, etc. If it counted the whole flamethrower channel ticks into one then just hitting about 3 people couple do it

I wouldnt bet on it but i think this is a screenshot from back when heatseeking missile and the commando versions were bugged and kicked out insane dmg? Was hotfixed a few days later but i managed to get a few 8k+ crits with my merc who was in pretty bad gear. Other possible solution is that its a bug, ive seen it happen before.

 

To be frank, it is impossible no matter what buffs you use or no matter what target you have that a normal commando could do a 10k crit. Best i have managed with heatseeker and 930 tech bonus on my merc is about 6100 on a pve geared sorc.
