Targhust
Hi, Just started playing a few weeks ago, and I know games have bugs. But my question is has any one tried to do the Alderaan mission knock knock and have issues? I can run through open spaces and hit walls I can see. I can have an enemy right next to me and be told I am too close for melee or have no line of site, standing right next to them. When I summon my companion they spawn on top of the jedi statues and wont come down. I offered them cookies and they still wont come down. Also several stairs wont let my go up or down them. Tried logging out and back in, reloading the UI. Any ideas? Known issue? Or am I just a lucky playa? Thanks
Oggthebase
it looks like it an out of synchronization issue, the server does not locate you where your computer locates you. So disconnecting / reconnecting should force the synchronization...
Ashu-ri
Also, for companion issue, put them on passive, and move a short distance away. Putting them on passive makes them follow you. Then when they are back to ground, remove passive.
JacksonMo
I've had this same issue a time or two. Just recently while completing chapter 2 on my sentinel. An elite mob was killing my companion, but when I lept to him, I landed half way across the room. Running back and forth spamming attack didn't help either... Eventually, my companion died and the mob suddenly became un-bugged and I was able to fight him. But I've also seen times where a mob will be clipped into a wall, and no direct attack can hurt them. Occasionally, I've been able to get an aoe to work.
Mayeh
The location bug seems to happen mainly with patrolling mobs. You will see the mob in one position but when you leap, you leap to the mobs actual location. Your computer will tell you you are out of range since it thinks the mob is still in the original position, not where your leap put you. Some things you also have to be aware of, in some places you cannot target/fight through a doorway/opening, in some places your companion will not cross that same type of threshold (you need to put them away and recall them), and elevators cause companions to bug all the time You will find where these locations are by trial and error, and in some cases people exploit them (especially flash points).
