I understand Q times currently take priority right now and i agree fully. But once this release fiasco calms down i sure do hope you guys back off on booting folks out just because they step away from the keyboard for a few minutes. Keep up the great work and thanks.

I know it's a pain to sit in the queue again, but on the other hand, I know that the delay is long enough that I can make some food and scarf it down without getting kicked, and it's certainly long enough to fill my cup and deal with Bio Maintenance... If you plan to be afk longer than that, shouldn't you just log and let someone else play? Especially if there is a queue to play?

Normally I see it this^ way, but I understand the OP's point, given the horrenduous queues we have to wait for to get back into the server. Its even worse if you DC for some reason then have to sit down (and loose your party if you had people helping you through a difficult mission to solo) and wait sometimes 20+ minutes to get back in.

Appletaz Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 A 10 minute afk kick is just plain wrong. Especially when there are long queues to get back in. Sometimes, you just need to get up and walk around, perhaps go get yourself a snack. Can't expect us to sit in front of the computer nonstop.... especially when the queue to get back in can be 1+ hours. It's just not backed by any reasonable thought. A 30 minute kick for being afk, that is reasonable, and if you are going to be gone longer than that, you should log out.

Just try to get everything you do down to five minutes. Bathroom, shower, meals etc.

If your gewtting booted to login (another wards you have to get in the que to get back in)... then your AFK a heck of alot longer then 10 minutes.

There were times I was crafting with one companion and waiting for my other companions to return with items and the game kicked me out immediately. Sometimes I received the warning logout and was able to hit cancel, but not all the time. I sent in a bug ticket. Not sure why you are complaining... the AFK kick does not boot you to login, it simply boots you to character selection.... While working on crafting, sending you companions out, you can go AFK and be kicked even though your watching the screen waiting for them to come back and do something else, and just clicking on the crafting interface does not bring you out of AFK........

I learned that one the hard way... was doing crafting and got booted off like 30 seconds after i had just done something... learned to make sure i walk around some.

I think especially on servers with ques it SHOULD be shorter. If I am waiting an hour to get in, you are certainly not gong to take a 15-20 minute break and not lose your spot. Honestly, if you have an emergency and need to run off for longer than 10 minutes, then coming back and waiting in the que probably isn't your first priority anyways...

Natsolo Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 A few more minutes wouldn't hurt anyone really. Sometimes the bio-breaks can take a few extra minutes. just sayin'. It would really suck to be stuck in a 45min to an hour que just because you were out of toilet paper.

Well no effing dur captain obvious... And ofcoarse they are going to lengthen the 10min afk boot to something a little longer down the road. Stop waisting peoples time with stupid threads like these.

I would rather see a grace period for people who get unexpected disconnects or crashes to be able to skip the queue. I haven't personally had any, but it really has to suck to wait an hour to play and then get a game crash and have to go all the way to the back of the line again.

Just get a keyboard with macro capable keys and have it loop jump every 30seconds to a minute, you won't ever be booted for being AFK again
