7k damage from a smash *** is that. Hope you are fixing that in tomorrows patch or i'm gone. It might just one to you, but can you afford many more?

I agree! They seem to not want to balance the PvP because it will throw off the PvE. I say they just have a bunch of warriors stun locking people and spamming smash. IDK what to say i`m pretty disappointed though. Ill give it one more patch. They seem to be betting it all on FTP PvE.

Bad update. I've got a rank 78 jug I never play, got tired of the class being focused around one skill.

 

Tried rage this patch on the marauder, insane dps still not fun to play. My full wh powertech got hit for 5.8k multiple times the other day by a team of smash monkeys. The people who were good at that spec are now gods and the ones who suck at it still top charts with no effort. Granted, it takes more skill than you might think to eek every bit of dps out of it but I don't think it's much fun for the smasher or the smashee.

 

Still, does it make sense to play it in it's current form? Yeah, you're probably doing your team a disservice not using it right now. I hope they tone back the ability to have 4 charges ready every single time you unload a smash to bring it back in line. Currently op for sure.

they did 4-9k before 1.4, so why you cry now?

 

ah forgot, they are now on pair with PT and Mara ...

 

btw. nothing changed how hard they hit you, only overall dmg in charts is higher, smash is more frequently now, but hits are same dude ...

 

roll ranked with sniper in the team and you are good ...

 

in pugs ist problem with team setup, because its random ...its like chess, sometimes you win, sometimes you loose.

The only way I can make sense of the moronic smash/sweep changes is a purely PvE metric reading.

Or you could just get some gear, and learn to beat the one trick pony..but hey lets nerf it cause you're to lazy to do something about it.

 

"Let's nerf it?" At the moment, we're still trying to find out why it was BUFFED. Because it sure as hell wasn't warranted.

SMOOSHED by SMASH! Except for WH weapon (didn't they lower and then raise the cost again this past week?), I'm full WH, and that new self heal sages get is great EXCEPT when chain stunned. SMASH still does 5k-6k crit, seems to crit a lot, even though crit stims are no longer allowed in warzones.

 

LOSE the CC's and we'd find Smash Smooshes more funny than deplorable :cool:

 

Note: slows, roots (as long as the clean effects work) are OK. Even at 10m range, the stuns just aren't fun for anyone, except for the occasional times a team is all bunched up trying to get in their 10m range and I AOE Crit them :D

Put it back the way it was....Doesnt bother me as a Rage Jugg...I was fine before and hardly ever saw another Rage Jugg...They were all Tank hybrids...Now they are everywhere...and I dont blame them. As it would have it my Smash ability is really bugged and rarely ever does dmg to any or all of the targets in my radius...So I havnt even played him much.

 

Just playing the Alt until they fix this mess, Resolve(stun lock), Bugged abilities, Warping, Horrid GCD bug...the list goes on...Not going to PvP when its just not fun in its condition.

When a warrior is setting up a Smash its most likely going to be soon after they jump to you, why? because in rage spec for 20 seconds after the jump smash has a 100% chance to crit.

Well what can I say ... I have all classes at 50 except a slinger and a sorc ... I like my overbuffed smash sent doing 500k damage in half recruit half bm.

 

Hah. Liar. You'd be lucky to do 200k damage in recruit/bm gear--especially if the other team has lawlersmashers.

I'm so enjoy to see crying OP pyrotechs about rage juggs/guards. :rolleyes:

 

Also I'm enjoy see about "no efforts" from 2-buttons spam range railshots pyro, who must need plenty skill spam these 2 buttons. Hahaha.

Leap is not the key to effective smashing, and sorry, if you are stacking 3 points in crit chance, L2P...

They don't actually listen... the forum is more as a tool for therapy than it is a tool to have problems addressed and resolved.

I don't think the Rage spec is overpowered overall. But Smash is certainly out of balance. The main issue with Smash is the Auto-Crit. To make matters worse, it's a simple 4-button rotation to make your Smash smash and only slightly varies based on the uptime of Berserk.

 

My Marauder is geared half WH/BM with a EWH mainhand. His Smash is pretty much guaranteed to deal 5.5-5.8K per target in AOE damage. Now the actual damage that is delivered depends on the opponent and their defenses. However, I can't think of a skill in this game that is this powerful and so easy to nearly spam.

 

Balance becomes a real issue in builds. Since players can count on an Auto-Crit, there is no reason whatsoever to gear for Crit. Instead of gearing for Crit, smart players are stacking Power and Surge. Whereas every other DPS class needs to balance the trifecta Crit/Power/Surge, Rage speccers only need to pump up Power/Surge which results in more inflated Smashes.

You're wrong. They do listen, more so then they should. From the beginning here...

 

People complained bout operatives - nerfed

People complained about sorc heals - nerfed

People complained about powertechs - nerfed

People complained about rage build - buffed

People complained about deception - buffed

People complained about sorc heals again - buffed

 

You can't please everyone but they are trying to. Don't like the game then stop playing.

What are you talking about?

 

First, If you are not using Obliterate or at the very least Force Charge to get the 100% crit chance buff then you don't know what YOU are talking about and You need to L2P.

 

And NO WHERE did I say anything about my spec or stats .... So wherever you got the idea I'm pointing 3/3 points into malice is just in your imagination.
