Best offensive ability against turrets, shield generators, any type of building in general. 2. Best armor: Can take a lot of damage from other ships before being destroyed. Cons: 1. Weak offensive ability against other ships: Not good in ship vs ship combat 2. Slowest movement speed out of all the ships, least manueverability. Abilities: Proton torpedoes(Fire a proton torpedo that damages the building for 15000 damage. Requires 2 seconds to lock onto a target building, 3 torpedo max at a time. 30 second cooldown per torpedo.) Proton bombs(Drops a proton bomb on an area, dealing 20000 damage to the primary target, and 5000 damage to all buildings within 15 meters of the blast radius. This move is aimed yourself, there is no lock on like with the proton torpedoes. 4 bombs max at a time. 45 second cooldown per bomb.) Bomber shield(Activates a shield that causes the bomber to take 50% less damage from all sources. Lasts 8 seconds. 1 minute cooldown.) Blasters. Stats: 20000 HP, Very slow movement speed, heavy armor. Fighters –Pros: 1. Best offensive ability against other ships: excels in ship vs ship combat. 2. Medicore movement speed/manueverability: Better than bomber, worse than scout. Cons: 1. Worst armor: Can’t take that much damage from other ships before being destroyed 2. Abilities: Missiles(These do not follow the target like heat seeking missiles, they to be aimed, they do 1000 damage per missile, but there is no cooldown. Spread Missiles(Missiles that do damage over a wide spread area. Each missile that hits does 1500 damage, 6 missiles in total. 30 second cooldown) Devastation bomb(A bomb that is fired into space. It explodes where the user aimed the bomb to go, doing 2000 initial damage. After that, the bomb continues to do 500 damage per second in an area of effect for 15 seconds. 1 minute cooldown), Heat Seeking Missiles(3 Missiles that follow the target ship until they hit their target for 4000 damage) 45 second cooldown per missile), Blasters Stats: 12500 HP, medium movement speed, medium armor. Scout—Pros: 1. Best movement speed/manueverability out of all the ships. 2. Easiest to land in enemy hangars. Cons: 1. Weak offensive ability against other ships: Not good in ship vs ship combat 2. Evasive manuvers(You have a 50% chance to dodge blaster attacks, and a 25% chance to dodge missile attacks, 1 minute cooldown) EMP(Shuts down all electricial systems on a ship, disabling it for 5 seconds.) Cloaking device(Your ship becomes invisible for 10 seconds, you move at 75% movement speed during this time. 2 minute cooldown), Emergency Landing(passive) Blasters Stats: 10000 HP, Fast movement speed, Light Armor Repair Ship—Pros: 1. Only ship that can repair other ships and buildings, even while the ships or buildings are being attacked 2. Can give a single target or AoE shield buff to ships. Cons: 1. Worst offensive ability: not good in ship vs ship or ship vs building combat Abilities: Shield Generator(give one target a 25% shield buff) Armada Shield(AoE shield buff 10%, lasts 30 seconds, 2 minute cooldown) Pit Repair(Gives an instant 25% health to a single ship, 20 second cooldown) Emergency Repair(]This is a channeling spell, gives 1500 health per second to ally turrets, shield generators, towers) Stats: 15000 HP, slow movement speed, medium armor. Ok… so that was describing a rough idea of the different types of ships I think would be cool to implement. It is not quite a rock-paper-scissors model, but that’s not exactly the intention either. My intention when I thought about this was for strategical warfare, and when you pick one type of ship, you’re basically picking what role you want to be in this PvP/space hybrid mission. You have to work as a team to win. I will get to that, and also the PvP portion of this later on. Objective: So basically, when the game starts, there will be a republic and an empire fleet that each side starts in, they start in a room that is directly opposite of the power cores and near the hangar, where they will get into the ship that they want to pilot, be it bomber, fighter, or scout. I know this is a simple objective but the objective would be… Primary objective: Destroy the command tower To give the player the freedom of choice, I would implement a way to damage this command tower from the inside and the outside. If you wanted to be able to damage it from outside you would have to destroy all 4 shield generators. If you wanted to damage it from inside, you would have to destroy all 4 secondary power cores. After that, you will be allowed to damage the primary power core inside the ship, which damages the command tower itself. The command tower would have 1,200,000 HP. Now before you think that is ridiculous, I will say each shield generator and power core destroyed takes HP off of the command tower. Each shield generator destroyed is 150000 hp lost from the command tower, and each secondary power core destroyed is 50000 hp lost from the command tower. So once all is said and done, the command tower itself without shield generator or secondary power cores would have 400,000 hp left. On top of that, the primary power core and command tower will share the same hp bar, so that those inside the enemy ship and those attacking from the outside can both have an effect. Once the command tower(primary power core) is destroyed, the team who destroyed it wins the match. If no command tower is destroyed by the time that the match has ended(the timer is 20 minutes) then the team who has the most shield generators/power cores, points overall wins. Destroy 4 shield generators(These will be on the outside of the ship) This is where bombers would excel, fighters would do slow damage to the shield generators and turrets, and scouts would do even worse damage to the shield generators and turrets. Complete this bonus objective and get bonus valor. This is a bonus objective for the pilots. Bonus objective(Destroy the 3 engines) Each engine will have 75000 HP. Destroy all 3 of these and get bonus valor. This is a bonus objective for the players who are fighting inside the fleetships. Medals: So with ship PvP would come ship medals, I won’t list the medals for players fighting inside the fleetship, since there are already medals for that type of combat. There are basically 2 medals that every type of ship would be the best at attaining. Weapon of Mass Destruction: Deal the most overall damage to buildings as a bomber. Turret Terrorizer: Destroy the most turrets in a match of “The Battle for Corellia.” Mass Murderer: Deal the most damage in the match to other ships. Ace Pilot: Have the best Killeath ratio by the time the match ends. Survivor: The one who stays alive in a ship for the longest time during a match. Clear for Landing: Successfully land in a hangar the most times without having lost under 50% of your HP. Pitcrew: Repair the most overall HP to ships by the end of a match. It's on rails so unless they developed a free roam space it won't happen. I would love to see battlefront 2 style space battles for sure though, would be sick.
