Cyborg face limitiations ?

LOL so I was making an alt today for fun, thought I'd make a cyborg.

Why aren't all the good human faces available for male cyborgs too? well just all the human faces in general.

Cyborg has only like 4 different faces with a mix of different ears filling in the spaces between the 4 faces.

I'd also like to have the option to "mirror" cybernetics so I can switch what eye the device is over and what not.

This isn't actually a complaint I just thought it was weird that it was so limited since the description about cyborgs was that they were specifically human with enhancements/repairs to their body.

What's worse is cyborgs for some reason are unable to grow beards/mustaches dispite being able to grow stubble perfectly well.

This applies to every non-human race.

The character creation in this game seems straight up lazy, with things like this being limited for no real reason.

Yep.

I (and others) made this complaint during beta.

For some reason, Cyborgs are unable to grow facial hair except for a moustache if they happen to have the same cybernetic implants as an NPC cyborg that also happens to have a moustache.

But Miraluka are even less able to grow facial hair. They can grow stubble if they select a complexion that includes it, but otherwise, nothing.

And what about Mirialan and Chiss? Are those species unable to grow facial hair?

Back to cybernetics, I also agree on the mirror images. A trooper gets a left eyepatch option but not a right eyepatch. A BH gets a cybernetic right eye option but not a cybernetic left eye option.

Same with scars.

I do not know about coding, but it seems like those things should have been relatively easy to include.

character creation is very limited... imagine that I use only 2 (pre made) faces and that is that.. I only change the skin collor, hair and facial.. to look a bit different.

Bioware sounds funny when it says : F2P will have limited character creation... lol

it possible that certain races cant grow facial hair but my guess is since we havnt seen Mirlilukan Mirialan and Chiss with facial hair that maybe they cant or they just shave all the time, hell maybe its custom not to have it in their culture's

When you unlock cycborg race do you get to choose from all of them as they orginally said?

Today i create new Operative Healer... You know - droids, droids, droids everywhere bzz-bzz-bzzz! :p

And what do I see? Even with legacy - all the same faces. :(

As a result, i stick with Agent-human... WHYYYYYYYY we cannot use all faces with cyborg pseudo-"race"!!!!

once you unlock a race in your legacy, your new alts will have 50 new options in the character selection screen that were not there before for that race, cyborgs are pretty cool when legacy unlocked

Now if we can only change our current characters look after we get the legacy. I really hope they add a feature in the game where we can change our appearance.

Yeah, you get to choose from every cyborg option.

And you are still limited to a couple of moustaches and a single 'beard', which is just a goatee, but again, you are required to take certain cybernetics in order to get the facial hair.

Just look atthe cyborg options for BH, SW, Agent, Smuggler, and Trooper.

If you unlock the cyborg legacy you get all of those options.

There is no mix-and-match, there is nothing extra. You can give a cyborg of a particular class cybernetic options that they wouldn't normally have (including classes that can't normally be cyborgs), but you can't give anyone an appearance that isn't otherwise available.

And that includes facial hair.

A very limited selection restricted to a very few specific cybernetic options.

Somehow having a cybernetic eye or an eyepatch restricts you from growing facial hair.

it possible that certain races cant grow facial hair but my guess is since we havnt seen Mirlilukan Mirialan and Chiss with facial hair that maybe they cant or they just shave all the time, hell maybe its custom not to have it in their culture's

No.

Since we haven't seen Miralukans with facial hair in this game it means that they didn't include it as an option.

A Miraluka with a beard.

They just decided that they were done.

And none of that excuses the lack of facial hair options for cyborgs. Heck, there is no reason why there weren't tattoos available for most species, either, and every class, but thye aren't.

Only human troopers and Sith warriors get tattoos. Smugglers don't get tattoos because <insert bad excuse here>.

These are things that are in the system. Someone had to decide that they wouldn't allow cyborgs to use the facial hair options, but then someone else (and possibly the same person) had to decide that they would make certain cybernetic options come with non-optional facial hair.

Why not get rid of the non-optional stuff and just turn the beards on? If I want my cyborg to have a beard, I can give them a beard.

I could not only give them any beard that I want (instead of the single goatee that is an option now), I could give it to them with any cybernetic option (instead of only the single option available now).

Yeah a barber shop is sorely needed.

In order for a barber shop to be even marginally useful, they'd need to actually give us customization options that don't leave every race looking like they shared a common DNA donor before being created in vats on Kamino.

The character creation/customization in this game sucks. I've seen older games with better options. I've seen publishers with fewer resources available do a better job. BioWare has no excuse for dropping the ball on this.
