Pvp smash!

First, the biggest smash i've done is 6.2k. That was on an ungeared person whop had forgotten to buff up after his last death.

 

Second, while yes, i can get 400k+ dmg in a Wz, do you know why that is? Because 99.5% of the idiots in a WZ like to bunch up together, like some big circle jerk type of thing. They get a jugg beating on them, and they run to their teammates/healer. In huttball, they all get within 5m of the ball carrier. In fact, in any WZ, i've yet to see a healer standing alone, they always have 2+ people within 5m of them.

 

Nothing, i mean nothing, pads my dmg stats or makes my eyes light up as a jugg than then when idiots bunch up in a big 5m pile of idiocy. Thats where the big end-of-wz dmg numbers for juggs come from.

 

Here's an idea: stand 7m+ away from your teammates. You'd cut juggs overall damage almost in half...

 

Then you're hitting light or have the wrong set bonus. Next time a match ends, hover over the juggs and maras. You'll see a lot higher numbers than that from a lot of them. Highest I've seen is 7300, but there's a guy with a rage jugg who linked a video on the day of the patch who hit someone for almost 8k 3 seconds into the video.

 

Edit: and yeah. the other guy's right, that if you're getting 400k with that spec, you're either undergeared, doing something wrong or in really short matches.

So they "spammed" their cc on you, which means your team mates can't get cc'ed, So why is it worse now? Unless you are one of those lone superheroes who love to 1v5, and expect to win.

 

You dont even know what we are talking about anymore do you? An entire team of people averaging 2 to 4 CC's a piece...several of which are AoE...then they all start unloading them with no coordination...and it now takes longer for your resolve to build...so you are stunned for a longer duration in that mix...and your all for this? Ok great, we have established your idea of a fun PvP environment...Now go bother someone else please.

Completely agree with the OP. I recently switched to my sin from my Jugg for PvP but the new Rage is just too good to pass on it so what am I supposed to do Bioware? I guess I'm going back because you decided to make one tree completely OP in comparison with others.

 

BW PvP team is brain damaged. That's for sure.

It's not the damage itself - I do 4-5 k with mediocre gear. It's the fact that *********** 80% of people are playing it. There is no diversity and much less fun :(

So basically rather then think about when to CC your ok with someone spamming CC at will to achieve a similar effect with no penalty.....Thats pretty much what your saying here. If you are hit with 3 cc's at once you should only gain resolve for the one CC that effected you...and the other team should not be penalized for keyboard smashing?...Hmm you should apply for a job at Bioware...Sounds like your a ringer for their PvP team.

 

 

The other teamd does get penalized, all the extra CC is wasted and since most is on a relativley long cooldown, unavailabe for a bit, while coordinated teams will still have much more CC available to them. The resolve system as it currently stands, does seem to keep you CC'd longer, however before people where complaining that they people were "never" getting CC'd because of resolve. I dont know if its the same people complaining now, but the pendulum has just swung back the other way. I dont know if there is actually a good fix to this but its gonna be one way or the other. If your a squishy class or burst class you prolly want the longer stuns, if your a melee class or do more sustained dps you probably favor less stuns. Either way IMHO, its never going to be where everyone is happy. IDC either way really to be honest, as i hate when people top off resolve bars unneccesarily just as much as i hate being chained stunned.

Lol all people do is complain in this game, screw learning to counter :)! (PS The only reason you see a Rage Jugger/Marauder Focus Guardian/Sentinel getting those high damage is because morons in WZ'S like to stack!).

 

I'm sorry but this game doesn't exactly have a proper matchmaking system and "morons" are very often randomly put into the team together which is actually an indicator that more people are playing Rage, not that they make teams of 4 marauders.

 

Also, FYI smash is now almost instant and it's much more difficult to counter than before.

Resolve is not as bad as smash atm> since i am a tank i get hit by 3.5k smash. But i see player getting killed in 3 sec to it in full warhero kinda remind me of my wow days with the dev gave hunter a 200% to aimed shot. Hunter walked around in BG 1 shooting players for 200k a hit in full tank gear. Flag carriers died to one hit even if a healer was healing. If by some chance they did live a proc gave a hunter instant cast on aimed shot kill the player with easy.

Smash should of been instant in the first place, Overload/Force Wave is instant now also. These abilities needed to be instant...

Seriously Bioware? this is what you wanted for PVP? there's an abundance of LOLSMASH going around in WZs and it's ridiculous.

 

It's like having a bunch of monkeys jumping around SMASHing everything around them. The team with the most SMASH classes will win.

 

We post feedback, you ignore it and go ahead and make changes NOBODY asked for. Buffing the Focus tree the way you did has turned WZs into a joke. I can just imagine how bad it is in ranked games now. Need to put that "world class" PVP design team to work on something else 'cause they have no idea what they're doing with PVP.

 

Its gotten to the point that each team has 4 knights/warriors 3 of which ale lolsmash specced and tearing everybody apart. And while juggs arent so bad - outside of saber ward they die, sentinels with their cooldowns are totally over the top.

What they did to rage was OK. I don't think they should nerf it. The changes made the spec more fun and intuitive. But at the same time they ignored all the feedback (like why the **** would they nerf vengeance) and apart of buffing deception didn't go with urgent changes.

 

But yeah Undying Rage continues to be ridiculous.

Yeah, Vengeance is garbage now. No real reason for any Juggernaut to play it except for Unstoppable? but seriously they nerf Pooled Hatred from 10% to 2%!

The changes to rage separates the good smash jugs from the bad ones. Its alot more difficult to get the rotation down now with the time reducing abilities if you want to be as efficient as possible. There is a lot of smash jugs at the moment i agree. Just like there was alot of consealment ops at launch, arsenal bounty hunters back in jan, then tank assassins, then PTs, then Marauders. People will try to play what they believe is the best class. The changes have increased the number, but really put smash on par with Pyro PTs and Carnage Marauders.

You should be complaining about resolve, more than a few extra noobs smashing you.

 

So why don't you go make your own post about resolve instead of coming here and telling me what I should complain about? If I wanted to complain about all the problems in PVP I'd run out of space to type. Go take some anti-Nerd rage meds, you obviously need them.

Its not the 1st time that bw put in a powerful no skill spec in game to please the casuals.

You really shouldnt be suprised.

Many specs that are bonded heavily to players actual skill to work are now nerfed on the bottom.

 

Oh well whoever said rage is complicated to play... Sorry but I have to disagree. Its about as complicated as playing a pyrotech PT cept your 6k nukes goes out to 5 people instead of 1.

We have crits' that have been verified by numerous pvpers for over 6k and with a potential to hit up to 5 people at a time. That is a 30k+ chunk of damage in one attack. All done by a heavy armor wearing class who's primary role is a tank. Totally out of line with any kind of sensible pvp model.

 

Tanks are supposed to be sponges and protectors and taunters not dps beasts.

 

squishy classes should be the dps kings. That's the trade off of being squishy.

 

This game has all the pieces to be great. To bad it's being ruined by people who can't see the forest through the trees.
