Seriously Bioware? this is what you wanted for PVP? there's an abundance of LOLSMASH going around in WZs and it's ridiculous.

 

It's like having a bunch of monkeys jumping around SMASHing everything around them. The team with the most SMASH classes will win.

 

We post feedback, you ignore it and go ahead and make changes NOBODY asked for. Buffing the Focus tree the way you did has turned WZs into a joke. I can just imagine how bad it is in ranked games now. Need to put that "world class" PVP design team to work on something else 'cause they have no idea what they're doing with PVP.

I would gladly give up the Rage/Focus changes in exchange for reverting resolve...Smash is so buggy now I hate playing it anyway...I actually liked the delay on it...atleast then I knew when it was going to fire...Now it goes off before the animation...or just doesnt bother applying dmg at all.... I say revert the entire patch minus the Sorc changes....They needed their buffs...Merc DPS spec actually got nerfed LOL...Vengeance spec for Jugg got nerfed LOL...Of course there are Lolsmashers everywhere...Its the best spec for Mara and Jugg now... Just roll this thing back and then patch the Sorc buffs back in...

 

Resolve is terrible now...Pugs are now able to Chain CC via CC spam...Yay! that was a great idea Bw...

and the fotm grind has begun...I was just in a sub 50 WZ with 7! smash maras and juggs in the opposing team. My team was soundly deefeated by endless area crits :D

I don't see how resolve is worse, care to explain?

 

I cant explain it any better then the patch notes...Go check them out.

 

Summary: Pre 1.4 multiple people spamm CC on a target with no timing or coordination...This results is one CC being applied and the target is resolve capped because full resolve was applied for all CC applied while the target is under the first CC regardless of effect rendered.... Basically if you dont coordinate your CC you have a dimished effect due to continuely building full reolve per additional (or overkill) application.

 

Post 1.4 CC spam on a target now applies Resolve on a curve..Not full resolve per application rather its averaged off when it was apllied in relation to the original CC...AKA CC for dummies...CC Spam will infact keep a target CC'd for longer then prior to 1.4.

 

So they dumbed down CC so that spamming CC is more effective...Coordinating CC is still more effective...But mindlessly spamming a target will lock them down for longer then before....

If thats what you feel balance is sure...It still works out to the intial length of stunlock being longer then before for CC spammers...Doesnt matter when it starts to depreciate its about the way it builds...Any way you fold it your still stunned for longer if you had zero resolve and then get CC spammed........Because there is less of a penalty for Keymashing your CC buttons...

A flat reduction in smash damage seems to be the simplest solution at this point. Remove the 20%+ damage on the first tier focus tree. Maybe allow shockwave to buff scream as well to give the spec some versatility. It's definitely a bit silly right now though.

A flat reduction in smash damage seems to be the simplest solution at this point. Remove the 20%+ damage on the first tier focus tree. Maybe allow shockwave to buff scream as well to give the spec some versatility. It's definitely a bit silly right now though.

 

That'd probably negatively affect tanks.

 

I say make it a melee attack, and also make force crush a physical effect so more healers can dispel it.

OK, just because someone has a rage jugg does not make them fotm ffs. I've had mine rolled as rage for over a month and a half and have been slowly leveling him. I still play the same way as I did before the patch. Learn to adjust and play game. After all it is a game remember lol.

So basically rather then think about when to CC your ok with someone spamming CC at will to achieve a similar effect with no penalty.....Thats pretty much what your saying here. If you are hit with 3 cc's at once you should only gain resolve for the one CC that effected you...and the other team should not be penalized for keyboard smashing?...Hmm you should apply for a job at Bioware...Sounds like your a ringer for their PvP team.

First, the biggest smash i've done is 6.2k. That was on an ungeared person whop had forgotten to buff up after his last death.

 

Second, while yes, i can get 400k+ dmg in a Wz, do you know why that is? Because 99.5% of the idiots in a WZ like to bunch up together, like some big circle jerk type of thing. They get a jugg beating on them, and they run to their teammates/healer. In huttball, they all get within 5m of the ball carrier. In fact, in any WZ, i've yet to see a healer standing alone, they always have 2+ people within 5m of them.

 

Nothing, i mean nothing, pads my dmg stats or makes my eyes light up as a jugg than then when idiots bunch up in a big 5m pile of idiocy. Thats where the big end-of-wz dmg numbers for juggs come from.

 

Here's an idea: stand 7m+ away from your teammates. You'd cut juggs overall damage almost in half...

Please reread my post and notice phrase "Team". Its an assumption that we are not talking about 1v1. However with the Hybrid Sorc stun bubble build they do have potential to stun spam......But I digress. Im discussing play in a team environment not 1v1 just to clarify.

 

Side note I suppose I am reffering to an individual that is blowing CC CD's with no attention to resolve and his teams intent/tactics...AKA Spam CC as it comes of CD...rather then planned usage.

It's a bit unreasonable to expect two people to remain 6+ meters apart on an 8 man team for 13+ minutes because your opponent can drop 5.5k smashes every 8 seconds. It's a little like telling someone to stop bleeding after being shot.

 

Edit: Also you should be hitting the 700k+ range as a geared rage jug/mara.

Yeah 700k except apperently some Juggs Smash has been turned RnG based...Mine only applies dmg every 3rd application. Awesome glitches from 1.4.

I clearly stated team later in the post...There are multiple individuals on a TEAM...each of them are a SOMEONE...When they use their CC on CD rather then using it to benifit the team goal they are a SOMEONE spamming their CC....Get a grip dude..Your just riding my case now and not even on topic.

So they "spammed" their cc on you, which means your team mates can't get cc'ed, So why is it worse now? Unless you are one of those lone superheroes who love to 1v5, and expect to win.
